Na it is no those who want the game to succeed or see something good in it.

Anyone who likes anything about the game, has a counter argument against someone who hates it, someone who does not like WoW/ToR, or someone who supports XIV at all even a little = White Knight around here apparently. This is why the p2p forum lock thing cannot come soon enough. So many people who given up on this game who post non-stop here still with outdated info or just joining in on the Hate XIV bandwagon.... I never seen a forum so overloaded with trolls before, and never thought I see a game forum worse then WoW's.

Not that people's opinions do not matter, but all these pointless QQ threads, and constant spamming of the exact same negative crap over and over needs to stop, spewing of false information, and threads attempting to get others to quit the game need to stop. Honestly all those peoples opinions really do not matter because at that point of making those kind of threads they have no intention of ever playing the game again once X mmo releases. SE kicking all those people out will mark the time when this game will improve. One because those players are not playing anyways so literally no loss to the game and Two at that point the forums will still be negative, but at least they will be constructive and not OMG GAME SUCKZ every 11/12 threads.

I can't wait for these forums to be like Zam and such use to be with XI, everyone helping each other, posting guides, giving feedback without slamming the game every post.

even if 2.0 was here a LOT of the same people would say "It's not worth 10$ because it does not have this or that". No matter when SE charges it will be met with this hate Simply because people do not want to part with money and because people still have a sour taste in thier mouth from a YEAR ago. Face it the game is so much better then it was and Charging ASAP is the best idea because people need to realize this is not a F2P game and lots of you started ONLY because it was F2P.

So lets weed out the people who are not gonna pay anyway and get only the people who enjoy the game in the forums to give ideas to SE. Not just anyone.

Well most of us rarely play if we compare to you no-lifers with 50 50s. Some of us need to sleep so we can go to work every day, instead of only stop playing at 6 am because you need to make breakfast for your kids. I am sorry I don't play enough for your liking. No wait, I am not.

Also those guys called me crylean when I dared to politely suggest that we tried DH with a varied setup instead of archer zerging, guess since they were trying to feel like the awesomesestest linkshell in the whole game they didn't like to be remotely reminded that they were just going the cheap route. The leader also hated the fact that I decided to take a break from the game instead of grinding a job I wasn't remotely interested it. But this is the same person who went absolutely bananas on me when I casually commented I had ordered The Witcher 2... Well at the end he quit and I am still playing.

But see, I very clearly remember you as a the most unbalanced person in that LS, and how you would go out of your way to take shots at people who didn't share your idea that we should play this game like a job in that LS, and see how it worked out for the LS. You just can't expect SE to keep the game running for a year for free, and then keep running it for a year without any revenue while trying to make a new version of the game. You are such a liar Crylean. The LS NEVER used an Archer-setup since we only had 3 50 Archers in total in our LS. You only were around for DH for the first 3 Days and then dissapeard again, like after every Patch. You only came on randomly online with Stuff like "Are we doing something tonight?", and then logged off when noone invited you.

The discount is something people should see as a "I'm sorry that it takes that long". It doesnt look like a lot, but if you see it over the whole Year until 2.0 and do the Math, people are playing a couple more Month for free.

yes you can...its SE for one, they are a loaded as hell company. Secondly if it was any other company, they would have shut the game down or went F2P, that would have been the "smart" business way to go about it. But again this is SE and they want to keep up their reputation. Of course charging before the game is truly fixed (which is 2.0 obviously) seems like someone at the top said "screw the image, we need some money". I can bet you Yoshi was far from pleased with having to tell people to pay for the game before he could finish all of his changes....but that's big business for yah.

yea i think it's a little early for SE to start charging as well but i understand why they have to do it and i'm shcoked they havent done it early. SE gaves us over 1 year free memebership to the game which was nice of them most game companys would make you pay for it while they fix it, SE were nice enought to gave it to us for free

Let's be honest people, what we've been playing for this past year was an over-glorified beta. The way I see it, after 1.20 the game will finally feel like it should have felt... At launch. And as a newly launched game, I think FFXIV is polished enough to last until 2.0 (The first REAL content update.)

Your definently not the sharpest knife in the drawer are you? Your the opened the can of worms about players free time. If we have it from being our own bosses then thats worth mentioning as our justification. Some of us are retired and make our own hours drawing out a solid living part time at the poker tables. If he is his own boss, then hell yeah he is cool, its not easy to do. Appearently you can't do it. no they were not nice to give it to us, they had no damn choice. If they started charging back then especially, this game would have been shut down a long time ago. I just dont get why people think its nice of them to not charge us for the absolute trash of an MMO they sold to us. They messed up so bad they publicly apologized. People need to stop giving them pity and after they start charging treat it exactly like they had just bought it, so if there is flaws (which clearly there is until 2.0) you can give SE crap until its fixed, because you are now paying for it.

Actually, the game wouldn't have been shut down, if anything it would probably have still made a profit versus keeping it free for a year.

If it didn't shut down during a free year, it wouldn't have shutdown while it was being charged. MMOs that get shutdown very quickly are usually because they're not WoW clones or because they can't compete with established MMOs of 5 years+, which means a new MMO has to compete with some MMOs that have sometimes 4 expansions worth of content which is near impossible without copy/pasting content.

I find this to a point unacceptable in the fact that Square Enix, released a game 15 months ago that was incomplete. This desicion alone was a major mistake on their part. SE has since stated that they need to rebuild the game, and it will relaunch next year for the PC and the PS3 version will soon follow. Now players (not all) dont want to pay to play. I understand both views but instead of complaining about those who will or will not pay, maybe all the players both who will and wont look at who is responsible for this game and let those people know that what they did was unacceptable. Now thwe big question is HOW or WHAT is acceptable? Maybe instead of charging 9.99 per month or 30.00 for 6 months they lower the pay to play fee to say 5.00 no adding in an extra 3.00 for this or that. Now once the ffxiv 2.0 is ready and is launched every gets the same 30 days free, after that the fee would be 12.99 per month, and of course the discount if you pay for the game for a few extra months. This is only my opinion but in fact it would most likely entice those that dont want to pay to play at 9.99 a month etc to actually stay. As it stands now some servers have hardly anyone on and trying to form a party is a chore in itself. Now some have said lets do as server merger, well that shouldnt be done either. See once 2.0 is released we will have lots of people on very few servers, and those that are gonna start playing via there PS3 will find there servers empty. On top of that you will have all the PC player who started playing before the PS3 version launch and they will all be on a few servers. This in itself will create the same issue we have now with server populations. I personally dont want SE tell me or forcing me when 2.0 launches to go to another server, that would be very unacceptable. I have no problem paying to play so its not an issue.
