[Poll] (post combat liveletter) What Job are you planning to main in Stormblood?

I like that samurai isn't as flashy as other jobs. I like the motif of a calm, collected, and subtle samurai. One that is precise in their movements and doesn't cater to flash and pizzazz. For that reason, I'm planning to main SAM.

I've been Bard since the beginning and I see no reason to stop..... unlike those fair weather "I don't like cast times in 3.0" Bards :O

With the change to BRD no longer being a caster, it makes it tempting to stay. However, I played a SAM as main in FFXI and for nostalgia's sake, I will try maining it again. Let it be known that it was for nostalgia and not because of a new hyped fad.

Staying a MCH main. Pretenders get out.

Seriously though, I'll likely level everything again. I'm excited for both new jobs. Order priority however will be MCH>WHM>SAM>RDM>probably PLD, so I can have one of each role available for endgame right away.

PLD master race. But I do plan on trying out Samurai

Sticking with NIN for the MSQ.

Will prioritize leveling MCH and PLD for ranged DPS and tank after that. Still haven't gotten around to leveling a healer class, but it'll probably be WHM for their DPS.

So far, if this accurately represented all the player base (which it doesn't but hypothetically):

63% DPS
19% Tank
17% Healer

Now that I can think clearly...Probably MNK or NIN, with MCH being my ranged dps. I was hyped for SAM but after seeing the other job changes, I'm honestly more excited to see how they play now. No doubt I'll mess around with Samurai during first day of early access but I don't think I'll main it.

Ninja is surprising for me because I leveled it to 50 and that was it but from what we've seen so far, it looks very interesting to me.

MNK, I always love the MNK/fighter classes in general, never mained it here but I keep it up to date, I was BRD then MCH but its time for a change.

I will pick Paladin and Ast as my main,then proceeding to get the other tank and healer jobs to 60 as usual.When that focus is done, I am gonna jump on my Samurai.

PAL/DK and MNK, perhaps SAM too but can't say till I used it.

However, I'm not sure the order or how I going to do it. Probably will "rush" SAM to 60 while doing all important roulette with a Tank.

With the video , Im happy my main BRD/MCH are so cool now xD so they will stay my main dps.

I intend to remain a Machinist main, pending how fun the new gameplay is. But I tend to like Heat management mechanics in other games. I'm also very glad they share gear with Bards, since now they're actually....Bards. I like them bringing the emphasis to the musicality side, and the new effects are beautiful. So even if I don't end up liking the changes to MCH, I will at least be the same role.

So for now my leveling "schedule" will go MCH->BRD, but beyond that I'm torn. I really dig Samurai in other FF titles, but Red Mage looks incredibly fun...Scholar is my main healer (and would get me Bahamut as a nice present on the side), I still have a soft spot for my original main - Monk. So much to do!

As it stands now, I feel that's pretty accurate of the playerbase now. Although this is of people who JUST responded to the poll and visit these forums. I expect dps will be closer to 67-70% with the casual players who only play for the story at launch and that's it. Those people are the type I feel will more than likely play through the story as the new jobs then unsub after the first month or two.

PLD or DRK.

They haven't showed much of DRK so I can't make my decision yet.

I just hopeboth jobs gets to the WAr spot (godlike job)

Red Mage is still my most likely main. I have to admit I didn't expect the Bard changes so that's another option. Can't wait to try how both jobs play.

In the 2nd version (compared to the 1st), we can see people hyped by Paladin, Astro, Barde and Summoner.
Many players changed from White Mage to another job, same but less for Monk and Dark Knight.
Red Mage and Samurai are again the first and second choice.

Have you considered doing a third poll now that we know exactly what the jobs are going to do (mostly)?

Was kind of torn between MNK, NIN, RDM and SAM for a while. But after all the job changes were detailed with the lifting of the press embargo, I'm definitely leaning more towards Red Mage.

I will give Red Mage a try since I've been waiting on that. But if it fails to satisfy, it's wonderful to know I have my now cast barless Bard to fall back on!

Definitely need a new poll, I'm sure you will find a very sizable crater where the WHMs used to reside.

Samurai, I was a Sam in FFXI, I play samurai everywhere that it is available.

My favorite weapon even when I do martial arts is the katana.

Doesn't really matter how OP or bad it is.

I want to stay a white mage. But SE is making that incredibly hard.

Summoner again after dropping it in 3.0.

I will main in order of preference DK - PLD - WAR :p

started off with monk, am staying with monk. It's freaking ala mhigo, the BIRTHPLACE of the monks man. How can i not be true to my heritage?
