Could you also please edit the post so it includes a beach episode? The swimsuit idea takes priority ofc but I'd also like to see some beach episodes sidequests and would rather not have to make a thread about it.

I love all of these designs, but like someone mentioned earlier, um what about the potatoes lol. The Sling bikini would look rather akward? to be seen on a potato.

Something like this for Lalafells and having alterations per class and a bit different design but base design pretty much like this cept different colors and add ons and accents to show each class. All of the ones shown are nice but Lalafells need some designs too and thats even more work

While I would love to see this added in an event (such a the summer one) if the designs was much alike these I would be okay with buying them from Mogstation. But seeing we get swimwear from the summer event anyway .... hint hint ;)

So I been reading the thread and it has gotten quite a lot of feedback! I figured I would take a few common things from the thread and post it in the main post for anyone from Square Enix that may be reading.

As I wrote I would love to see these swimwears to come from an event and some people would like an event where you get to meet major NPCs (such as the city leaders ... I'm thinking GC swimsuits and speedos now and job quest givers who could give the job related ones out) and get to see them relaxing, get to know more about the NPCs etc etc - kinda like the fanart Square Enix related for an old event.

I would also like to stress again that both male and females would get this. It would be up to Square Enix they design both of them.

Every anime has it's beach episode, so I fully support this idea, as long as male characters get a swimsuit as well, Twelve forbid that they get left out...

But now that I think about it, if we get a beach episode for swimwear, when do we get the hot springs health spa episode?

Considering we're going to Orthar, you'd think hotsprings would be a thing there lol and thus another episode that will need to happen xD

Ya'know what, I know this thread is about Job related Suits/trucks etc.. but i'm gonna throw this in to the mix and would possibly like to see Grand Company designs as well. Not sure anyone would feel about that though lol

Pretty sure it wont be too much of an issue if at all for spuds lol.. Just like how they look in current ones a that are already in the game, these would be no different

The swimwear is nice but where/what are the options for males? Because we know it won't sit well with alot of them if they don't get an equivalent or something. And I'm sure no one wants a gender war thread again <_<'. I have no clue what guys could even wear besides... trunks? But I'm just trying to look at it from both sides.

There should be art made for male sets so it can more easily appeal to the Devs and all the guy characters.

Make them unisex, problem solved.

A mix of trunks, speedos and jammers with similar designs to the girl versions. Where the top won't work on a guy, we should just get something like the South Seas Talisman except with a job-specific tattoo or jewellery design. Could be awesome, and we need more tattoo options anyway.

Well, if the original artist that did these designs also create male versions, then they can be used, otherwise another talented artist can use them as inspiration for male versions. It's not like the OP said that they created the designs. As for the guys, give them slightly updated versions of the Victorian style men's one piece bathing suits with long trunks style legs an a sleeveless top part, would make it easy to include the thematic elements as well.

Agreed, Its obvious there needs to be Male equivalants of the designs and would love to see some. If I could speak the Artist language then I wouldn't mind asking if he could do male versions. Hell i'm not even sure he even realizes this thread is on here or that its popular lol But yeah long shorts with room for design, maybe even male top piece from one of the current sets redesigned with job theme would probably be the best way to go for men unless someone can make up something really creative with a male job related design and post it..

Seeing as it has been liked over 100 times, I would like to ask if it isn't too much trouble to get some examples of the back of the designs, and also some examples for males of the front and back.

Think that that would help for the dev team to consider to implement something like these into the game.

Sadly I never made the design (as explained in the first post) otherwise I would have made a male and female version. The artist that did (linked in the first post if interested) only made females ones. I only embedded the image as an idea of what I was talking about.

It is up to Square Enix to decide what it looks like for both male and females and how best to go about it. In other words the thread is just to get interest in it :)

If you can write in Japanese please do contact the artist for a male and back version of it - the artist might enjoy knowing their work has a lot of interest! Although saying that there is a member within my FC that can write Japanese so I will see if I can reach out to the artist about a male version.

We can also add to your suggestion beach shirts or even towels. Maybe some beach themed weapons (dolphin swords, beach ball for astros, etc)

Yeah I'd like this too lol I don't know how many events are left until summer, but if the remain ones have to be short in order to get something big for Moon Fire Faire. Then I'll gladly accept that. It'll be a good chance to show off some features + swimming is a thing, so hopes are high for now. I'm sure Fates will be a thing (kinda hoping not lol). Hoping they make use of there guildhest system like they did for halloween (Still best event, posing rangers after that lol) maybe something underwater? Looking forward to it lol

Male and female versions would be lol.. I'm actually interested in seeing what a Male and Female Version of AST/MCH. I'm thinking AST would have kinda have more a of a Gipsy type theme to it and MCH? maybe your typical grease monkey? lol

Not only does this definitely need to be implemented in game but I would pay the obscene amounts they would no doubt charge on the SE store for such articles of clothing.

I'd rather we had a mix of styles as I said (like the girls). Male Miqo'te look good in trunks. I often look as though I'm trying to look twenty years younger than my character is meant to be ;p
