yea well, some of us actually prefer to have some sort of aesthetic and design continuity.
if not, then I might as well get a Excalibur/Masamune- dual-wielding bunny-ear one-winged galka-taru ninja-knight with a Bahamut mount that piss rainbows and shit ponies while dual casting Holy and Meteor.
Well, yes, you started as just merely stating that SE has already done it before. However, then followed up with that it is "okay" because SE has done it before. That is what I'm disagreeing with, your line of reasoning. I'm not disagreeing with the fact they have already used it.
The line of reasoning you gave which only opens up the topic was;
They have done it already, thus it is alright to do it again.
Or to just quote you;
My line of reasoning is this;
They have done it already, but it does not mean it is wise to do it again.
Then, it opens up the debate as to why it is okay for them to continue to do so, or not to do so.
i thought this thread was about cars
Hey, the people with the horns in grid, I am not sure what their race is but would they count?
Apparently you're still missing the point. You first stated a fact, which I didn't refute on because it's a fact. However, later on you've started using the fact as a justification for the continuance of it. Such as they did ___ so it is justified they can continue to do ___. That's what I'm arguing over.
Here, lets take it out of context if it helps you understand, since I can't seem to explain this without you getting confused over your own reasoning.
In World War II America conducted the first atomic bombing on Hiroshima, then on Nagaski, and had plans for additional bombings.
Because America had conducted nuclear warfare once before, does that alone justify the use of nuclear warfare on any occasion?
The first bit is a fact,
the second bit is debatable.
If you apply your reasoning to that, then you're basically saying, it's okay to shoot off more nukes because America already did it.
Read your reasoning in your own quote;
Re-worded;
"How can ANY race from ANY FF game not belong in FFXIV when they have already used FFXI races."
With that reasoning I can apply it to also,
"How can anyone say FFXI's skill chain system does not belong in FFXIV when they already have FFXI's exp chain system"
"Do you disagree with that?" "well, yes" I'm done dude.
You didn't read it all. I'm not refuting the fact, but rebutting your opinion.
I don't know how much more can I clarify how you're mixing your opinions into facts. Then some how saying your opinion is the fact.
Here is another example;
FFXIV had plans to charge us for $12.99. That's a fact.
Using your reasoning but just changing the subject matter;
Would you agree on that opinion?Quote:
How can anyone say XIV shouldn't be charged $12.99, when XIV had already planned to charge us for $12.99.
Would you agree on the OPINION that since FFXIV had plans to be charged at $12.99 that it SHOULD remain at $12.99.
Because that is using the fact to justify the opinion, that is exactly what you are saying with this
just give up lack, it's pretty apparent that he had no interest in a debate since... well, the first post.
We are talking about exceptions, and rules here.
Exception: this game had a poor release due to some really bad game designs.
The company is desperately attempting to salvage the game. SE feels that failing this title would result in a critical blow to the franchise's name. My personal stance on payment has absolutely nothing to do with this topic.
I challenge you to please quote me, at least once, in the thread where I said I want and need other final fantasy races in this game.
You cannot. I merely stated that there has been precedence. You then mention branding, and how they do not include races as a method of branding a new final fantasy. I then proceeded to remind you that XIV races are not original, and they were ripped from XI.
The only opinion I have ever offered was "that is a weak excuse"; in regard to peoples' reasoning that this game could not see races from other games within the series because they are offline rpgs.
