Please fix or remove housing!

Also on Sargatanas and snagged a small house in Mist yesterday (and had an anxious 30 seconds as I had to relinquish the previous small house in the goblet and teleport to new house before anyone else got it!). Old house was bought by someone within 2 minutes (although to be fair I did broadcast it's availableness on the Novice Network).

They're definitely available, but not without some effort/checking!

You DO have tools for getting a house if you want one badly enough. It's called server transfer. Lots of servers have houses left, people just overpopulate some worlds...

That's a good point. You just need to want it badly enough to leave behind your company and friends, as well as find a way around the 1 million gil limitation of the server transfer.

How silly of people to complain when they have that option! :rolleyes:

A lot of people have enough for a medium/large, I agree some had no choice, but others like myself bought a small on the condition that we would save and upgrade later. Some people from the start did the exact same thing due to the fact SE promised us a feature for upgrading/transfer shortly after housing was released. Even if they add more houses there will never be enough medium/large for every player.

Houses can be found easily and looking on lodestone sargantanas looks like a smaller server still. Also it felt a smaller server when I was on it too. I also know getting a house wasnt that bad on Sargantanas I camped the aetherite on there too and helped my FC get a house. BTW we also purchased a small and later upgraded to a large.

So people who had no choice to get a small should have no choice to get a bigger house, cause you was too lazy to camp the aetherites. Yes I agree it sucks to do it, but it doesn't make you any more entitled. Also as it stands I will be creating another FC with alts for when the expansion gets realised, this way I have a larger chance of getting a medium/large FC house.

Not sure how this is relevant. I can only see you asking for special treatment in having a houses gifted to you cause you don't have one. Yes the vast majority should be able to get a small at the very least.

No solution that involves nerfing, locking people out or forcing transfers is a fix.

Sure plots are available sometimes, that's very true. What the OP is trying to say is however, it should be possible for every player to get a house easily..not having to wait or stalk the ward list just to try and ninja one the moment it demos.

I have always said that SE should have and still should re-do housing as instance based. Why? Because it's simple..and it's resource friendly. Take a look at Black Desert Online. EVERY place you can have a house is instanced. Multiple people have the same house in the same spot--you open a menu when you click the door to the list of players who have bought that house and you can visit them (a lot like private rooms/apartment rooms). You can own up to 5 residences in that game..now that isn't really necessary here but my point is any player no matter the server can have a house of their own. Will everybody see your cool yard? maybe not..but you can have a yard.

I fully support the idea of instanced personal housing. I think it'd be cool if FCs still kept the wards. Also I think that if everything was merged to one ward, it'd be cool if u could set whose house you see when you run around it or if it set to "last house visited" so you see the houses in the ward belonging to players that you have visited or even simply interacted with.

If that was the case I would agree with him/her. But this isn't the case they think everyone who hasn't got a house should get first chance at all available houses. When people have had no choice but grab what ever is available. End of the day if I upgrade my old plot is free.

I agree with this personal houses should of never been on the wards. They should of been more expensive like SE promised when personal houses were released after FC housing.

The main difference between an apartment and a house is a yard, pretty much. So that idea does not work. If you don't care about the yard, get an apartment.

Communism doesn't work lol, and the idea of "If I can't have it no one should!!" is both childish and entitled.

Lets take away dev time to parse chat logs for house sellers for the people who were to lazy to buy their own house. WE NEED TO GO BACK TO 1 DUNGEON PER PATCH FOR THIS!

Just for giggles I checked and it seems someone got their FC a house.

Thing is housing needs to be fixed period. I'd have no issue transferring from Balmung to Mateus to be able to buy a house as there are plenty there but I shouldn't lose my money in the transfer, also I'm a roleplayer and if I transferred to another server I'm pretty much assed out in finding a rp community on a server like Mateus.

Hi! I won't to post as someone who is a) on Balmung and b) part of the problem. I own a small, personal house on Balmung that my IRL friend's fc left to me when they got a medium house. I've seen houses pop up from the demo timer on Balmung and I've seen apartments. However, the situation on Sarg is NOTHING like Balmung. If your pf is asking for 12 mil for a small, you're lucky as hell. The illegal housing sales on Balmung for a small is 40-60 million (I am not even joking) and we do not have any apartments. I gave up my apartment to a friend who didn't get one when I got my house since I didn't want to be a jerk and hold onto it when I now have a house. I will admit that I do think housing is a problem though. I see people on Balmung who hold onto houses and log in every 45 days to keep it when FCs can be using it...this includes alt FCs. I log in every day and use my house and have friends as tenants. But not everyone is that lucky. I don't have a real solution to offer either.

I think if SE could limit housing to one per account or make it so people who own housing can't buy apartments (this happened on Balmung where the majority of apartment owners have housing already), it could go a long way. Also, allocating resources for underpopulated servers who don't need as many houses to larger servers and adjusting as-needed. I don't think housing should be taken away entirely. But there are things that could limit it that SE just hasn't done for some reason. Maybe the removal of PS3 support will allow them to do more things though. Who knows. They first gotta fix Aether from crashing multiple times a day first anyways >.<

EDIT: Though... it looks like you got your house. Not sure if you're still advocating that it gets taken away.

I’m just curious, how can you tell that OP got a house? Is it shown somewhere on their character page?

If you look up his FC on lodestone, you can see that the FC has housing.

Part of the problem? You have one house on balmung. I know people who have four or five.

There's currently three smalls (one in each district) and a medium up for sale on Exodus. Housing is REAL broken, alright. :rolleyes:

And I say this even as I have been stalking the wards for weeks for a mansion. If you wait and watch, you'll find what you're looking for.
