FFXIV Server Suspension :Day 1:

well I've started learning spanish as the servers are down, i've also braved the outside world a bit more and its a fun fun place

Day :1: I was forced to purchase "two worlds 2" to keep from insanity. With FFXI, FFXIV, and all ongoing JP anime on hold. But honestly a brake from MMO's is not unwelcome, how ever i do wish the circumstance behind were not as tragic as they are at the moment.

Am i the only one wondering if there is some sort of development still going on, the game servers are shut down but have they had to halt all development too?

i would guess they are AT LEAST having meetings about new update ideas and features to add to the game... i mean that doesn't take power, should be done.

How is Two Worlds 2? I heard it was pretty awful, definitely better ways to spend $60 (or whatever it costs now) from what I've seen :p

I got up at 6:00 AM, took a shower and went to work. I'm a high school teacher!

I wouldn't call that a "life," but I noticed today that I took more interest in my job and my students... Now I'm home and have verry little to do.

I now have 6-8 hours of free time, until I go to bed. I wonder what I should do? I will probably end up watching some torrented series that were released yesterday. Oh well.

Day off today, like every Monday, and find myself missing my char, Aldo.

I bought Borderlands for 16.99 a few days ago, I think i'm going to start that up.
Still, worried for our Japanese friends out there. God bless you guys.

Playing some Pokemon Black & White with my wife, did a lot of house work. Played with my dogs, and went for a run. :)
I sure hope everyone in Japan is doing well, watching the news it's all very tragic.

I honestly am kinda looking forward to see what I get done productively this week. Though it is nice to see the XIV community still alive and in high spirits, a forced week away will be nice.

I am strongly against people watching anime and the flintstones.

Can't wait to get back on and check up on the friends that live in Japan. They're a strong nation, i know they can make it thru this! Best of luck Japan.

i alredy watch anime but your going to start making me want to watch the flintstones just cause u dont seem to like it.

I've been playing the crap out of Dragon Age II. Oh, and I primed a Gundam model.

it's a sad and boring day. It happened too quick, I didn't even prepare other game to play. Without the game, I've sort of been forced to watch more Japanese news. Good things they all acted pretty strong and organized. Feels like it's a drill than actual disaster to some of them, even when some are talking about their relatives were missing. So, good thing they are strong not just cry and cry more in front of camera.

I will play Shogun 2: Total War if i get it tomorrow. Allready did pre-order it months before

They should probably just keep the servers shut down. This 'game's' been out since november and it still feels like an alpha. Time to just end it mercifully.

Well it's nice to see that people have other things they can do instead of playing the game ^_^. Me however I get to do what I've been doing since I have a crappy computer and can't really play the game except for maybe a couple of hours a week or so... Netflix, tv, ps3, psps, talking to ls members on mumble.... yeah waiting for the ps3 version to come out sucks...:(

Not sure yet. First real day of downtime for me and I'm still at work... I'm pretty sure I'll get bored tonight though; heck even if I just login to chat with ls members, it's more to do that just sit around and watch tv. Maybe I'll fire my <insert other MMO> sub back up for a month to kill time... Maybe I'll finally pick up a copy of Rift... Maybe I'll just spend a week hanging out at the bars after work.

I've recently bought Pokemon White lol, so not only am i occupied at work, but now i am occupied with it at home too, for now D: I was actually gonna log on and pick up some leves. lmao I had forgotten about the service being shut down. Donated some money as soon as i remembered ^^

Hey here's a thought, go post on a forum for a game you actually like.

Honestly, Square Enix, move the dam servers into NA. This whole shutdown of servers wouldn't of happened if you guys actually cared about the players. If the servers aren't back up within 1 week, im quitting FFXIV. The overall direction of the game is taking at least 10 times longer than it should. You guys miss the most basic things that should have already been implemented ex. Mounts. Square Enix, you let me down a ton, very very dissapointing.

I don't know... hahaha I haven't logged on FFXIV much in the past two months or so. Not much has changed since alpha/beta of last year, so I kind of burnt myself out for a while as far as grinding goes. Once the game gets more interesting I'll be more than happy to start playing again. I've been pretty busy irl, too... so. :T

Wow, dude... way to be extremely insensitive about the disaster that happened in Japan. They had no way of knowing this would happen.

Yeah, mounts are TOTALLY what this game needs. Do everyone a favor and just leave now if you don't like the game.

I dont know about everyone else, but im going through withdrawels. Cant wait for it to be back up.

But whats going on is more important, so I can be as patient if i have to be even if it takes a month.

Btw, downloaded a PSX emulator just so I can play Xenogears cause *cough* I never played it *cough* and to my HUGE SUPRIRSE, the emulator is running the game PERFECTLY. So many old school games Ima catch up on, IM SOOO HAPPY! =D

I've been catching up on my social life a bit, hanging out with friends. I started spring cleaning until my vacuum cleaner died ; ;
I got lot's of stuff to do, so I'll try to make the best out of it.

Be glad that we actually still get to play after an unsuccessful launch. I thought that Square-Enix would shut down the servers and revert back to closed beta status and try to relaunch the game after a year.

i really hope XIV stays around for a long while, and becomes a great mmorpg for the ones that stayed with them thru the process.
