Aether Data Center Not allowing Me to Connect

Florida over here

Getting this from Aether as well. Arkansas with Comcast. Might be another DDoS

Primal, Behemoth, i got nothing Xfinity/comcast new jersey

keep getting connection failed error when trying to log in and lobby error immediately after trying to reenter data center been going on for hours now with no change im use'n ATT&T in the south eastern Texas region anyone else having issues i just switched to att&T today just hoping its not just me

Got 90002 trying to get onto Greg, then when I attempted to switch to Primal to see if I could get on anywhere it gave another error and booted out of the game.

This is what I get for wasting all my time earlier not getting on it seems.

Pretty much Aether and Primal Data Centers are down. I just hope SE is looking into it, but by the looks of how they haven't even notified us let alone respond to any threads about this. I doubt anything is being done atm. :(

I'm having the same issues. I'm from Texas and have at&t.

Would be nice if SE at least let us know they are looking into this -.-

Just tried it. I can get on any other data center other then Aether. Even got in primal with an old character.

I have been trying to connect to Balmung since I got kicked from the server initially with no luck. I get all the way to the loading screen and it disconnects me from the server.

Thought the point of paying for a game and paying for items was to have a team that was on top of major issues like this, and communicating with it's clients.

ISP is RCN in eastern Pennsylvania.

Considering there's no post on the news section about this issue clearly indicates another problem that probably wont get fixed...

It's more of a wait n see if this becomes a daily occurrence and/or continues to happen in the morning / afternoon (its 2:36 am here for me)

If this the case then I'm leaving not gonna pay for something I cant log in to

I'm fine with other technical difficulties / maintenance... but this one something else that could be a prolonged issue

Hm. Got back on for a sec. Was in the Barracks. The person from Tennessee was no longer in party. I assume he DC'd and is now unable to get back on like the rest of us.

I have been playing for almost a year now, and I can count on one hand the times that this has happened to me (being kicked and not being able to log back into the server--I've 90k'd plenty of times because my ISP is dumb, but I've always been able to log back in unless Cactuar or Aether itself is having issues).

I do wish SE would at least acknowledge that this is going on. It's not isolated to just a few people. So it's terribly frustrating that they haven't even let us know that they're looking into it. That's really the part that's pissing me off the most.

I made it online a 3rd time, but was again quickly afflicted with the d/c icon and booted by error code.

Still in that party, though now there are only 6 ppl in it.

Yah same with Levi just now I can't get in my main char, kept saying that sever not connect and kick me out so hope it get fix so what's going on?

'World Technical Difficulties' are pretty common, it's just HOT POTOPO until it's your World (or in this case Data Center), unfortunately. Still, it's the wee hours of the morning. While they've got 24/7 reporting, there is likely no one monitoring atm, and if there is, what they can actually do is likely limited. It sucks but there's no way this isn't getting fixed. It's an entire Data Center. I just wish, if it is a DDoS attack, that whoever unleashed it gets stabbed in the face. Repeatedly. With a potato peeler.

If it IS a DDoS attack there also isn't much that SE can do right now to my understanding.

It's almost 3 am over here and still can't log in , error 2002 saying lobby sever connection encouraged an error and I can't get in at all ;-;

And also it all happened when I was abt to enter faith of step then dced and ever since after that, I can't get in

I've seen SE report at even later hours than this about World Technical Difficulties, though. T^T It's so frustrating that I can't even make it past the start menu 90% of the time, yet my FC mate (Rhode Island, and they were the first to get kicked off) is doing Weeping City right now. D:

A Dev response on this would be nice considering this has been happening throughout most of the day. I'm getting 2002 error with PC, iMac and Macbook.

Actually this is prime time for SE office in Japan so someone is by aware of this situation I'm sure. What they are doing about it? not so sure.

You'd think a thread going on 11 pages of posts within such a quick time would warrent a dev to look into it. Especially it being in the Technical Support section

I can't connect to anything. I keep getting 2002 errors. I had hoped to level my alt some more but I guess not lol.

I'm in the same boat, I was in the middle of leveling my Drk with PotD.

So tried a couple things.

For myself, I CANNOT access the Primal Data Center period. I can get to character selection for Aether and try to load in but it does not work.

Chaos server DOES work, and thus I assume the rest of the data centers work as well. I was also able to log in via a new character. Also learned that you know skip all the cutscenes instead of just the starting one if you so choose (used to be you only skipped the dream cutscene and had to do the cart cutscene.)

As for SE response, given that they usually try to be on top of things I'm assuming they are trying to figure out what is going on here and it isn't whatever would be considered "usual problems" in this case. Plus with the NA side sleeping the amount of english speakers would most likely be much smaller for communicating with us.

Well you can try to look at the cup half full, maybe they are so busy trying to fix the issue they can't take a minute to post about it until its resolved. Yea, see half full is better. :P

I managed to log on this morning with no issue and even got on around 10/11PM EST with no issues. It wasn't until I tried swapping characters at midnight est that I started having issues. Now I can't get back in on any of my character on any Aether Datacenter server. I wanted to add a nice BLM I met too q.q

Getting a 2002 lobby error Gilgamesh server. Any ETA on a resolution?

Not atm. They haven't even acknowledged that there is a problem yet. Probably still trying to figure it out.

I'm in right now on my character... dont know how long it will last though

So far, SE hasn't even posted about this being an issue, and I dc'd 2 hours ago, others way before me. :/

WTF come on fix this shit SE.

Will chime in that I too cannot connect to the Aether data center, however I was able to connect the Primal server without problem when testing this about an hour ago.

Just tried logging back on. Aether still 2002 every time. Primal is about a 50/50 chance of getting past connecting to data center. All others work fine.
