Search was getting cluttered with item and their color variants so I did this:

I noticed some new Parameters for items:

Chance to restore HP - Morbid Mogblade, Mischievous Mogbow, Murderous Mogfists, Melancholy Mogfork, Malignant Mogaxe
Chance to restore MP - Malevolent Mogwand, Maleficent Mogstaff
Cannot equip gear to head slot - Gridanian Cowl, Seer's Cowl, Linen Cowl, Woolen Cowl
Cannot equip gear to hands, legs, and feet slots - Reindeer Suit
Chance to absorb HP - no items yet
Chance to absorb MP - no items yet
Chance to absorb TP - no items yet
Converts damage to MP - no items yet
Converts damage to TP - no items yet

I have added them to the database to show better item accuracy. Also updated tooltips and added search to those parameters.

I would actually be interested in doing a project like this or helping out I just don't know where to start. Computer science major just looking for a project to help me learn.

I'm not looking for a team... but I suggest you learn PHP/SQL if you are interested in developing website applications like this.

Thanks for the suggestions Simpsons. But before I start working on the actual website I have to obtain the data somehow. I have no clue to go about doing this with an MMO. I know the data has to be datamined and I’ve searched google on how to go about doing this but with no luck. Would you happen to know of any place I could go to learn?

Would it be possible if seeing dated recipes were optional? I feel that the recipe pages are just flooded with stuff I won't use and I have to sift through it to see the things I'm looking for.

I'd agree with this, I don't remember the dated recipes showing up last time I searched.

It would be handy if you could make them seperate maybe a submenu when selecting the craft in the drop down box.

Removed the Dated recipes from the list. But if you look up a particular dated item it will tell you the dated recipe for it.

Also I greatly improved Materia item results. Adding critical information:

If anyone has any suggestions or tweaks to this feature (such as adding item detail to dropdown) ill listen.

- Updated DB to 1.20a
- Updated the site's Navigation Menu (sleeker and runs better on phone browsers)
- Updated the site's Map viewer (html5, quicker loading, and ability to view on phone browser)

Some notes on 1.20a
- New Item (Beastcoin) "Unmarked Keystone"
- Repair class for Ranger's Hat, Ranger's Hat (Red), Rainmaker's Hat, and Rainmaker's Hat (Blue) changed from Leatherworker to Weaver
- Defense for Felt Trousers (Green), Felt Trousers (Blue), and Felt Trousers (Brown) raised from 81 to 130
- Loads of french item translation Fixes
- Clarification of some skill description eg (Murderous Intent: Changed "Throw yourself into your attacks, increasing crit rate." to "Throw yourself into your blows, increasing critical hit rate of physical attacks.")

The gathering node data for Bearded Rock, Skull Valley, and Black Brush is now 100% complete.

I used it so much, and now it's gone :|

I just learned about it this second and went thru the link and it's not there. I'm sad I never got to play with it. lol

Site doesn't work for me all I get is a blank white screen.

Some of the pages appear to be down, but other seem to work just fine. No idea what happened. But seeing as the last post was at the end of last year it is pretty safe to say something did happen.

The last DB update was for 1.20a.

use mooglebox.com, it's the best site like this around.

Its too bad mooglebox doesn't have a gear finder :(

FWIW, obviously since we are not a database we are somewhat limited, but we do have pages based on stats or jobs/classes. So you can look at all Gladiator Head gear, or all head gear with an intelligence boost, for example.

what do you mean? mooglebox is awesome at doing exactly what the gear finder does. Just type in the fields at the top of the table to limit the results. Want feet for a WAR that are over level 44 with crit rate? click Armor > Feet, then enter ">44" into level box, "crit" into the abilities box, and "WAR" into the favors field.

Granted it does a half-decent jobs at what the gear finder did, but its not the same not be a long shot.

It the reason why I said what I said, because I kind of wish Mooglebox had a gearfinder, its quite common on WoW database search sites.
