Chinese and Korean themed clothing

Yes, I REALLY want this.
When I was new in this game, I was speifically wondering if there was any Chinese dresses in the game and to my disappointment, I found out there weren't. Then they decided to add it... oh, what a joy... but wait... I live in Europe, so I won't get it?

Why are you releasing content and restricting it to area locations in real life? Sorry but it's mindblowing. Please look into how you can release all content in all regions or at least thuroughly explain why you won't and hence make big parts of your supporters disappointed.

My goodness, it's as simple as that. As long as they keep creating specific content everytime they localise the game, be it for a region, country, island or Liechtenstein, glamour squad N E E D S it.

Adding my voice in the chorus of FFXIV players --- as others have already mentioned, I do not see the reasoning behind restricting content for other regions. (I'm looking at you, JP-exclusive content)

Is it because there are partnerships with companies who want to get more sales with FFXIV-themed merchandise? Put the items in the Mog Station.

If they exist, there's ZERO reason to not have them available for everyone, and potentially 4.99-9.99 reasons TO have them.

Except the reason is that SE actually did not design them but the third-party company who runs the Korean version of the game on SE's behalf. The Korean version, like the Chinese version, is completely independent of the JP/NA/EU/rest of world version of the game and has a number of changes due to government censorship and cultural differences.

Hence, like the Asian-themed Behemoth mount the Chinese version players got which the rest of the world didn't, these outfits are just a belated compensation for not having the same version of the game that everyone else in the world plays, and are not actually owned by SE.

Although if they were somehow made available to the rest of the world, it would be great (my boyfriend particularly would so love that qiapo) there's tons of other things that could be implemented instead of trying to appeal to players with 'forbidden fruit' syndrome.

But that's enough of me being a negative-Nancy here. Please carry on. :p

If we're still voting on this, I'll throw my vote in. I think the best way would be for them to put it on the Mogshop, so that maybe the third party that designed the items could still get a cut of it somehow... maybe... perhaps. I'm not going to pretend to know how things work. I'd just really like everyone to be able to have it and be happy. :o

Actually, with a few government-mandated adjustments, the Chinese version is almost exactly the same (they have all of our outfits, and yeah the Saucer as well, just turned into an \\\\'amusement\\\\'park), so even if it\\\\'s third party designed, SE should compensate us by giving us exclusives as well... and no, monkey-butt helmets do not count. Neither do reindeer horns and hooves. If SE doesn\\\\'t want to take the time, they need to find a company that will.

i'd rather have the japanese 7/11 housemaid promo gear.

Please, if you're going to add this into the game, don't be in the goddam cash shop! There are already too many things in the cash shop.

The Chinese exclusives look really cool, and even though I haven't bought anything from the cash shop, I might consider using it if these items end up there.

I would love the China Dress!

I'd rather the cash shop than pulling an Amazon/Best Buy/Walmart promotion, there are a number of people taking advantage of the Amazon promotion's oversights, such as being able to pre-order an item, get a code, cancel the pre-order. And the more guaranteed cash SE gets, the more of this content we can have ported over from the CH/KR clients.

For anyone who hasn't seen on Reddit, Yoshida has confirmed that the Chinese-Sever first exclusive outfits (both the male and female) "is currently being added to the Japanese side of things, so we'll be able to formally announce it in the near future.".
