As entertaining this thread has been, Alex, what you need to realize is that your LS is probably not all that great. Now, I am not trying to be mean, but what they have said Quality > Quantity. It's good that you have a large LS, but that doesn't mean you are better than any other ones.
Now, for the rest of y'all, while I can see why you are angry, you should stop, think, and then formulate an intelligent, calm way to resolve these issues you all have been having. Forgive and forget what has happended,and find peace with Alex.

Prove it. This is a MMO and stealing isnt something new to MMO's. Its sadly actually Common. You NEVER have to Donate to your LS. Never... there is no fuc*ing reason why someone ever would have to do that. I coded Tons of Websites for my Past Linkshells over Tons of different MMO's, over the last Years... FOR FREE. Know why? Cause it is a Game people allready pay for.. and everything else is giving/taking between their Mates. I gave allready in FFXIV Gear away which was worth more than 50 Mil Gil in Total. Why for free? Cause they are my Mates.. its simple. And THAT is why im different compared to you.

I usually dont even take Gil from my Mates, when they want me to give it to me. Its just bold and greedy. But like i said before and what you simply ignored. You can have your LS and your friends with you, noone ever said something against that. But seriously stop comparing your LS to ours. Its like comparing Day and Night.

While we are on the topic of stealing...

Most of our members (if not all of them) come from FFXI, our history with linkshells is that they ARE guilds. Since there are no guilds in FFXIV, linkshells fill that role even if the way they are presented is in a more casual manner. This goes for other linkshells that follow the same guide lines as well. Therefore when you invite one (or more) of our members (or any other LS) to join your LS; You ARE trying to steal from us and any other linkshell that has the one LS only rule weather that has crossed your mind or not is an unknown, but if it has, that makes it worse.

Trust me when I say that it's not a good idea to try and steal members from other linkshells(guilds) and pretending like it's an OK thing to do just because you follow a different guide line. This is where you find trouble with our linkshell.

Furthermore it would probably help to know who leads linkshells and the structure that they run under rather than blindly assuming that all other linkshells are run poorly with an iron fist. You didn't even know who our leader was until yesterday yet you have been talking smack long before that. Being well informed when you talk smack is vital to not looking like a complete idiot. Just sayin'

Also, insulting ones wife while in pursuit of a putdown on our website is no way to make friends. You have become much more annoying than anticipated. You yourself claim to just be learning programming yet you insult someone who has nothing to do with the happenings in this thread who is learning code just like you. Fantastic how pathetically dense you are.

Because you're such a nice and wonderful person right? And our leaders are oppressive jerks who confine us to one linkshell.
It does not cross your mind that we are happy with our linkshell, does not cross your mind that we are all friends and enjoy each others company, just as your members in your LS do. All you do is blindly assume, which some how allows you to ignore anything I have said to try and reach an understanding with you.

We don't sit in game inviting people from your linkshell to join Vicious because we respect that you work hard to make your linkshell what it is. (As well as we don't want a whole lot of members.) The very least you could do is respect that our linkshell does not want to be part of yours and stop inviting people to join it.

By that I mean you perpetuate issues that can be solved by understanding the position of people outside of your linkshell. Congratulations on 100+ members, but you fail to realize that not everyone want's that, nor are you welcome to try and steal members from other linkshells to boost your obsession with numbers.

Why don't you try looking past some of the anger and figure out that you yourself are part of the issue here.

Brother, I completely and totally agree with you. This is the first intelligent thing I've actually read in this thread.

I'm currently on Fabul and waiting for the world/server Merge. When I first started reading this thread, I was a bit interested in both the world of Gysahl and this link shell. However, by the time I got to page four, I no longer had tolerance left for the pointless and immature content of the various conversations going on. I'm glad I've read this for one reason. I will now avoid Gysahl like the plague. I'm sure not everyone on the server is like this but I sure don't want to take the chance on running into anyone that participates in this kind of mindless behavior.

Please don't consider these two Linkshells to be an acturate reflection of Gysahllian culture. Gysahl is primarily a Jap/Oceanic server. Pretty much all the people I play with from NZ, Australia, Japan and Singapore are decent, honest players. However, due to my timezone I have very little knowledge of players or Linkshells that play mostly in US timezones.

I played on besaid, trabia and gysahl and i stayed here here because I found here better and nice people than besaid and trabia.

Just don't take this thread like a reason to hate this server.

Also, for the good of the 2 linkshells and server I think the better now is astin and vicius ppl apologize.

:p Well, I'd like to put in a reminder that whatever may be said here, for or against anyone on this thread, you're more than welcome to see for yourself how Gysahl is like ingame - I can attest that Gysahl is a fairly good server. Kisses, Vicious, Altima, Ascension, Thanalan Alliance, and many more linkshells worthy of mention thrive there - some of large size or with emphasis on quality or a mix of both. Our very strong-hearted leader is one of those individuals who are more than willing to be direct in her pursuits. It shows, and that's how driven she is to doing all she can in her own way to improve Kisses.

I'm a bit more modest, but also do not regret anyone's posts made in this now humorous thread. :cool:

All in all, I would daresay Kisses as a whole wouldn't have its good members if not for the Gysahl community. A number of folks turn out to be quite likable and well-meaning. Some posts suggested that we have members who have been outcast from elsewhere. That strikes me as interesting because these outcasts must have improved at least a tiny bit, or simply needed a different crowd to avoid personality clashes.

The other linkshells who've found loyal comrades would also say the same. FFXIV's service might tire us all from time to time, the content too brief in satiating our boredom, and the much-cursed loot gods prove too fickle for our preferences. Despite these shortcomings, for many of us on Gysahl it's the people that keeps drawing us back to try and try again. Whether we dislike, love, respect, fear, or wonder about other players, FFXIV's forward momentum is being propelled by the players willing to brave the uphill climb.

To that end, I'd happily welcome additional players migrating to Gysahl. :) All linkshells here more than likely would, even the ones who rarely recruit or no longer do. While the scorched fields of this forum thread may in time rival Ifrit's Bowl of Embers, Gysahl is sure to make you glad you chose the server! :D
