Roegadyn?

Fem Roe checking in.

I'd say if you enjoyed being a Roe before then why not?

Go for what feels right to you.

I'm only not a Roegadyn because they are too tall for me, Highlander girls are the right size and attitude for me :). Cannot live without my tail though!

This is why I play as a female Highlander Hyur, not many of us either lol.

I've tried to play Roes a couple of times, but I really can't stand the way the models move. I like the way they look on the character screen and I like the lore, but once I play one in game and see the running/walking animation, it's all over.

To be fair, about the only race/gender combo that doesn't bother me in that way is a miqo'te female (I really have tried most others). I guess I'm just picky like that!

I love playing a femroe. The only thing that bugs me are cut scenes. So many of them have group scenes with my head and shoulders completely out of the frame!

OP if you feel the need to change to a Roegadyn, dont hesitate, you will not regret it.
Their rarity is one of their selling points. People are stopping by to watch or poke me. Some even say "oh look a Femroe!" when i do stuff in DF. I also like the fact that except for male Roegadyns, no one is taller than me. ( Max Femroe height is 222.9 cm )

Despite what alot of people think, Femroes can look gorgeous.

I Know, i know... Im currently a Highlander, but i needed something different for a month or two. ( changed few days ago, I have been a Femroe for over 10 months )
Be assured though, im going back to the master race very soon ! I love this race so much.

This is how I feel about Highlander. I made an alt and decided to try Highlander to compare how they were in cut scenes (being really tall in cut scenes is about as annoying as being really short lol). The first time I ran, I shuddered. Man, is that ever a horrible run. Her arms moved WAY too much. I made it 4 hours before popping my fantasia and going Roe lol.

Same here! Except it was the dance that made me cringe a lot. Highlanders had some potential but the weird skippy movements are in complete contrast with their toned bodies and fierce gaze.

I was a Roe from the very beginning because I liked the powerful Amazon 'I AM WOMAN HERE ME ROAR' vibe they got going on. Although I didn't want to be -that- big- the shortest you can make them is around 6' and that seemed fine. At that height, you're dwarfed only by elezen, other roes and male auri, and reach around the same height as highlander males. Its kinda cool to be the tallest eskimo in my tribe scion in the squad

Im not really sure about the running thing. I've never seen anything wrong with it.

People have to be talked into giving female Roe an honest try. I know part of the issue is the default look is terrible. My wife wouldn't even look at them so one day while she was at work I made a female roe and saved it so she could see it. She changed as soon as she saw how pretty they can be.

This. I think the default female in the character generator is such a troll that folks will go no further.

I'd like to think I'm not that awful looking. >.>

Now y'all have me wanting to make another and give it a try again to see if I can get used to that running/walking animation. FemRoes ARE very pretty... lookin' at all of you in this thread. :-)

I was a fem cat in beta phase 2 (and later male), so when I switched to roe, the run did feel really slow and awkward. But it didn't take terribly long to get used to it. If anything, I cringe whenever I see a male au ra - taller than me, I might add - skipping around. Now THAT is awkward.

When I first started playing, I went Roe from the start (because I was excited to play a female giant class!). The run/walk was initially strange and jarring to me until I saw the way Male Miqo'te ran... suddenly wasn't so bad.

I've swapped to other races here and there just to give them a try, but I've never managed to last more than two weeks as anything other than a FemRoe. It's just too fun to play, despite some clothing limitations... The lack of a narrow waist can sometimes cause challenges.

Default Hellsguard isn't bad, honestly.

However, assuming you went straight to female Roegadyn, you'll see the Sea Wolf first.

After checking out this thread for sometime, I am now inclined to move on from a Highlander into a Roegadyn.

Will decide on Sea Wolf or Hellsguard once I get into the character creation!

HA! I made a male Au Ra alt and thought "Hmm...something's wrong with the way he runs. Can't put my finger on it..." Eventually, I figured out it was the way he bounces really high with each step. As if he was putting in the power to run 20 mph when he's really only doing 5. XD

Welcome to the Roegadyn family, sister.

while i will never become a Roe, i love when i see them in my party. they make us lalas look even smaller and cuter, compared to the big strong roes. But i love them so, they are like a big teddy bear you just want to cuddle up with.

I love being Roegadyn! Though I understand us being kinda rare. But my character makes me happy.
