T.T no cherry Tree for me agsin and no outfits from last year's event. PLZ put it in the mogry shop.
Do the repeatable quest a few times to accumulate Certificates of Collaboration and then you can trade them for the clogs or the mantelshelf by talking to another of the NPCs there. Once you do "The Lead Starling" quest and get a Suikan reward, you can also trade additional Certificates for another (if for instance you got the male version for yourself and want the female one for a retainer or vice versa).
But not the Eastern Cherry Tree or Crimson Felt Mat. The choker is nice enough, but the housing pieces were the good rewards from last year, and I too really wish they'd make them available again.
(To put them in the Mog Station though, they would have to make a change for the Mog Station versions to be untradeable. They won't sell anything for cash that can in turn be sold for gil.)
Frankly, I think housing items should be returning every year - or maybe every other year - because housing is such a commodity not everyone can benefit when the items are available and not everyone can sit on them until they can get a house. I DO NOT want to see housing items on the mogstation. Personal items sure but not housing items. FFXI used to do themed events that rotated (like how summer events switch between beach and Japanese festival themes) - I really think that housing items should be recurring every time there is some sort of vendor.
They should first just stick them on the Calamity Salvager so those who were there can get them again, but of course make them ones unsellable.
Or, just make a new Seasonal Furnishing Enthusiast NPC that sells them some time after the event has finished, like, a couple of months.
100% agreed. While I have an alt specifically for the purpose of hoarding seasonal housing items for later sale, I'd be much happier to see the Items return yearly from the event vendors. There would still be a market for them between events, but knowing that you could get them again for a pittance in a few months would keep prices reasonable and move the market quicker, since people would be less hesitant to use them.
Another nice option would be to add the items as recipes to their appropriate crafters, though.
On the subject of Crafting... I can imagine there being a The Rising Event item: Crafting Book: Seasonal Housing - with recipes that come out one or two years after the original event.
And the Calamity Salvager only has items that were event rewards and have toggles based on event achievements. It might be nice if those event achievements also awarded the optional purchaseable items - but no, it has not ever worked like that in my experience.
