I'd have agree with this one; trying go through the hole created by tree roots or so to get to the other side, only to find out that you can see through it, but not walk through. I think there were also some rock opening in 2.x that did the same thing.

*Black Mages who only use ice spells
*The look of Machinist Gauss Barrel
*People on the forum who keep creating the same tired threads again and again and again and again (i.e. Lightning event gear threads, housing complaint threads, summoner egi glamour threads)

My list is more about pet peeves than bugs:

- You want to join a PF, but the Host is on the same job as you. You can't join because he has that role blocked from joining.

- Your PF is for a farm party for Thordan Ex. Your description says something like, "TS required, must do 1.3k+ dps, no bonus, must be able to one-shot". Yet, you, as a dps, keep dying and keep messing up while blaming the non-skipped phases due to the DPS who's doing 1.1k.

- Main tank set his pull macro for 10 seconds, but he pulls at 5.

- When people are ready to clear a Primal for someone. The PF fills, but the person who needs the clear are like a million quests away from the actual fight AND is watching all cutscenes prior.

- When you say, "brb", but some initiates the Ready Check. The group is 7/8 ready and then the tank pulls anyway.

- You prefer to play your main, but folks insist on you playing the role they need filled.

- People who say they play better drunk, but find everything funny when they make constant errors.

- When you care more about getting your iLv up first, using gear appropriate for your job (ie BRD with DEX, WHM with MND), but others telling you it's not BiS. Ummm... I can't clear A2S. How the heck am I supposed to get that BiS?

- Because, as a PLD, you wear VIT accessories as MT due to not being 100% comfortable with the fight, but the group label you as a bad player even though you are doing ALL mechanics properly.

Biggest thing I hate is the fact that the game can't handle doing several functions at once.

IE: you have your retainer open, but you can't change gear at this time. Because apparently that's SOOOOO difficult to code.

"You cannot buff players in a cutscene" "You cannot buff players in a cutscene" "You cannot buff players in a cutscene"
But I can buff characters not loaded into a dungeon yet (even if they're in a cutscene) with AoE buffs like Stoneskin II or Protection, apparently.

Oh, and tanks that run off and don't let you buff up the party because half of them just left the cutscene.

This. It's also extremely annoying that if you have your companion out and open the party finder window before dismissing, him the window closes automatically when you dismiss him.

It's annoying we can't quick synthesize glamour prisms. I cannot figure out why that's not allowed.

Dyes either. I also don't understand why we need different grades of glamour prisms. It's a useless extra step. Condense all the glamour prisms into one for each type, that clears up 36 inventory slots in the game.

Being level synced be screwing my rotations.

Haven't seen it mentioned, so maybe there is a fix I don't know about, but I am bothered by not being able to reorganize linkshells.I used to be in seven, but some broke up, so I'm only in four. But they are linkshells 1,3,6, and 7. I'd like to rearrange them so it's 1,2,3,4, but as far as I know I would have to leave them and then rejoin to get them in order again.

And then when you join you try and stir up conversation or ask if anyone wants to do anything and everyone even when everyone's online will remain silent, players in the FC seem to have their own clique or everyone would much rather play on their own.

I think with most < keyword FC's that do this try and bait new players just so they can raise their member list numbers.

Better yet, getting blind FC invite spammed at you day, after day, after day, after day..... If I haven't joined your friggen FC after your 15th invite, do you really think 16 will be the magic number? Or do you just not give enough of a &*@* to bother remembering you invited me 15 times already? Ugh..... Blist needs to be increased to 500 for RMT and FC invite spam.

People use bots to automatically invite anyone not in a fc to their own.

You are literally just a value in a line of script to them... how does that make you feel?

Party members being able to accept teleports, but FC members not being able to accept teleports back to the FC.


Not sure if it's been fixed, but not being able to throw crap out of your retainer. Having to first withdraw it, THEN toss is.

My biggest peeve... NOT being able to eliminate player voices in combat while being able to keep cutscene voices maxed. I hate this more than anything else in game. Consistently having to hear the XIV equivalent to Link in combat if I want to hear voices in cutscenes, drives me nuts.

Muddy textures close up kinda bug me in some places.

You know what actually bugs me now that I think about it? The ridiculous font that's used in maps and road signs in game that's barely legible. What the shit.

I generally like them. But there is just ONE class I can't stand hearing. I hate anyone playing it beside me in any form of content, and I hate most that it's the only class left for me to level: MCH.

Had something like that once, guy kept sending me a tell to join his FC, kept going on every other day for like a week... I eventually didn't send the usual thanks but no kind of message and said "you know you've been sending me the same message for like a week, right, again, sorry but no thanks" and the reply I got was "do you really think I can remember every random dude I message, should I have remembered you because you're special?".

Best part was, he was saying the usual "social, friendly, everyone counts and nobody is left out etc etc" bull in his recruitment crap...

What? Maintenance again? On holidays??!!

UI delay resulting in the actions needing verification by the server.
Constant "You can't do that right now" messages IE: reordering inventory items when at a vendor etc

Way WAY too many currency items / quest items are regular items. PLEASE move that crap into a currency tab or into "key items" tab.

Start an FC petition. You do not need any signatures to look like you have an FC already.

The amount of "Key Items" slots available. So much space wasted, especially considering how SE struggle at making, say, relic weapons items "Key Items" for unknown reasons.

If you had read my entire post you'd see that I was complaining about false advertisement.
Like when i mentioned people saying they're social but when you try to stir conversation people don't bother talking or they only talk to their own friends
I'm in a good small FC now, have been ever since I transferred to Tonberry.

Me and my friends were just joking about all these people who shout that copy/pasted advertisement you see in every other FC recruitment shout.

Yes, the eorzean alphabet is awful.

- I know it's probably necessary, but having to drop party when I'm doing a quest because it has a single player duty.
- Not being able to bring my chocobo to a single player sync'd dungeon
- Not being able to turn in items that were bought with a tomestone for at least half or a quarter of what they were purchased for. People change roles in order to fit groups, it would be nice to be able to do that without sacrificing weeks of work.

It's even based on English; think of all the poor Japanese/everyone who can't read English who can't easily read the in-game signs.

Some might find this one strange, but I don't like it when classes start at 30. I also found it tad annoying queing a low lvl on one of your dailies and you don't get to use your cards.

Not that big of a deal but some how annoys me still.

Also why is it that so many quests have you running around to tell people stuff but you know they have linkshells......

- Artificial walls.

I hate them. They are in a lot of places where they shouldn't be in ARR areas. So many potential places to explore and places to climb to potentially see some great vistas are all blocked by invisible walls.

- NPC only animations and gestures.

There are many emotes, gestures and animations that NPCs have that I wish we could make use of such as:

• Standing idle with a smoking pipe
• Standing or sitting down with a bottle of liquor
• Stances that show you eating or drinking while standing or sitting
• Conversational idle stances while standing or sitting
• Sleeping in any location
• Lean against a wall with arms folded, one foot resting against the wall, etc.

- Not being able to fly in ARR areas.

Yes, I have read the dev response to this. Though I will continue to wish the dev team could hire more personnel to take on miscellaneous tasks such as adjusting the ARR areas for flight.

It's not easy for me to read. It's a complete eyesore.

And you aren't actually reading it, you're using pattern familiarization. "That word looks strikingly like it says 'Revenants Toll' doesn't it"

I promise you if they wrote paragraphs in it, you would have issues reading it, but I digress...

Fairly certain some of these have been brought up, but...

1. Riding a mount with nice music then riding through a FATE and having the fanfare shatter your immersion. Double points if it's a boss FATE, since you no longer get to listen to your mount's theme.
2. Having enemies you tagged in a FATE at the end lock you out of your mounts since you never disengaged, even though the FATE is already over.
3. Old animus book quest complaint: having your target enemies be tagged as FATE mobs even when they weren't spawned with the FATE nor count towards FATE credit. Bonus points if you were engaged with the mob prior to the FATE spawning.
4. Questionable choices in content to bring back for the new relic. Crystal Tower series is dead and SE thinks we need to revisit old beast tribes?
5. Mobs that aggro you from as close to their leash range as possible, meaning you end up running twice the distance before you can remount.
6. First-wipe droppers in DF. Is it really quicker to eat 30 minutes than to give it another shot, ESPECIALLY if we got far enough for Echo? Granted, in some instances I regret not joining them...
7. Gate-drop droppers in DF. Again, is it really quicker to eat 30 minutes than to possible run whatever "horrible" dungeon you landed in Roulette? I've rarely had dungeons that people were incompetent to the point of taking 40+ minutes. Of course, emergencies happen, so I'm probably judging too quick.

If only they put clear-English labels on top of the maps their artists worked so hard to make.

Have to be zoomed in on the map enough to see the plain English text on landmarks.

Because Eorzea - nay, Hydaelyn - is a place where face-to-face communication is still valued, unlike modern-day Earth where people are afraid to look up from their cell phones.
