Chemists should be like Ninjas. They make potions and healing salves that provide effects based on what order you put them in together, before hitting blend.
I also want to see Puppetmaster (fat chance), Dancer, and Mediator (even fatter chance)

Here's mine:
Samurai
Samurai
anddddddddddddddd Samurai
That's all I need from the next expansion :)
Personally, I'd like to see a free diving type gatherer job that picks up items from the ocean floor.
3 new Gathering classes. Let's do it.
dancer dancer dancer
I was also thinking something of this magnitude with the iconic Mix ability.
I'll copy + paste what I wrote in another thread to add on to here:
These are two classic jobs I've been thinking about lately.
Red Mage
I can see Red Mage being more of a supportive DPS class with damage on the lower spectrum(Much like NIN or BRD/MCH) while bringing support and utility.
Their main stat would be Dexterity, making use of proper yet fancy techniques with thrusting swords such as an Estoc or a Rapier while utilizing their magics to weave in some nukes and offer support and raid utilities.
It just seems off-putting to me if they were given a main healing role. A casting role wouldn't make sense to me either because of their main weapon being a sword. While they can use shields, would that be enough to thrust them into possibly being a tank? I mean, they don't don plate armor as far as I know but one could argue that they could use their white magics to conjure up protective shields made for tanking. Although that idea sounds like it would be best suited for the Spell Fencer or Rune Fencer.
Chemist / Salve-Maker
I would really like to see Chemist / Salve-Maker as the 4th healing class introduced to FFXIV. I am not sure what their main stat would be since they don't use any magics nor do I have an idea on what their main weapon would be. If it were up to me, I would base them on Final Fantasy Tactics and give them rifles and give them their iconic Mix ability from many other Final Fantasy games to make powerful potions.
From the wiki article:
Mix is a recurring ability throughout the Final Fantasy series. It is normally associated with the Chemist class. Mix involves the fusing of two items to create a more powerful one. Usually it is used right away, but sometimes it can be stored for later use.
Beastmaster - utility DPS, ability to shed hate onto pet, a pet that can OT. Obvious fixes to SMN are required for this to happen.
Red Mage - support via single target refresh/restore spells, sword melee dps that uses en-spells for additional damage, has battle raise (a la SMN).
Samurai - tank, uses combos for burst damage, enmity boost or mitigation similar to what ninja does now.
or maybe dropping an afterimage decoy that last for 10yeah i was thinking a neat tank gimmick would be the opposite of that ninja enmity transfer, draining the other players enmity. insead of transfering it toa player. or maybe dropping a decoy after imaga ala first boss of amdapor city hard for a few seconds to relocate while keeping enemies at place, this could also work by holding mobs in place while grabbing new adds that may spawn, or as a solotank for stuff like titan ex during adds phase...
none of them ;o
I want classes that has a Scythe or a flute as weapon! >o<;
I’d like to see the following Job introduced in 4.0:
1. Red Mage (Melee DPS with spells like “Dia”, “Haste” “MP Refresh” and “Focus”)
2. Dancer (Healer/DPS abilities like “Haste”, “HP Restoration”, “HP Regen”, “MP Refresh” and “TP Refresh”)
3. Samurai (Tank with Enmity and DPS stances or as a Melee DPS)
I'd like to see Spell Fencer from Bravely Default, basically it's a class that imbues their weapons with elemental magic to deal damage.
red mage : Heal/DPS
Blue mage : Tank/DPS
We need hybrid jobs
Samurai
Samurai
Samurai
Samurai - Combo / Heavy Burst DPS
Red Mage - Tank
Dancer - TP Based Healer
DPS - Dancer
Healer - Dancer
Tank??? - Dancer
I wish they would add a new one mid expansion like they did with Ninja but I'm not getting my hopes up.
After playing Bravely Second, I REALLY want to see charioteer as a melee job, because nothing says "suck it samurai" quite like quad-wielding.
I agree if they did do it I would hope they put samurai in(or whatever tank they choose next just using this as an example), in this fashion if they keep wanting to keep jobs thematic to the lore/environment of the expansion via why they chose drk over sam. Nin might have been shoehorned in, but it was nice. I would hope that if they did it this time that they would make it a tank or healer because that would help boost queue times or make them fairly even for a little while mid cycle, nin was great but it really made the queues really bad since it was a dps for a bit. doesnt have to be samurai or red mage or anything but a new tank would probably be nice, then healer and dps for the expansion or however they do it. hoping its two hybrids personally, im ready for some kind of new combat gameplay myself
At the anniversary event they only let slip Red Mage and Samurai. That with the info they have said in the past about 3 being to many leads me to believe we will only get Red and Sam.
Now as to their roles, the realist in me says Sam will be a tank and Red a dps. But the creative and OCD part of me sees Sam as a dps sure, but Red as a tank. Why?
Because Red Mage is traditionally a jack of all and master of none, which in this game is a tank. Tanks can self heal... sort of, and dps... sort of, and tank. The other two roles can at times but only tanks are given skills and stances allowing for shifting play. I know I will throw a Clemency at a healer in an emergency, and off tanking is basically weak dps. Also as mentioned, my OCD (not just saying, diagnosed) Black Mage - dps, White Mage - healer, Red Mage - Tank.... that would ease my mind.
honestly over the course of the last couple weeks im not even gonna debate whatever role whatever job will be everyone has good points about it, and yeah they did say 3 new ones were too much but literally when they added ninja in there it was more like 4 jobs were too much so close together. 2 hybrids going tank/dps or dps/healer would be really nice too i just hate to see tanks healers or dps not get a new job, and last time casters didnt get anything new period actually so idk
Tank: Red Mage
Healer: Dancer
DPS: Gunslinger (not like Machinist, melee DPS with 2 guns)
next expansion will be samuri, blue mage, red mage. anneversty thing done with with player make that more possible.
I hope to see at some point Beast Master my self.
i doubt we will see nercomancer. it go to much against lore of the game for example a sister city of Ul'dor had necromancer it was destroy as well the elemental go crazy when someone use necromancer magic the aspect of lore make impossible for it what we might see is job use corrupt crystal like magic to heal allies. I believe the elemental problem where behind the destroy of Ul'dor sister city.
Didn't they say they would only include 2 jobs, or is that still in the air?
Anyway for me its:
Tank: Blue Mage or Samurai
Blue Mage is a stretch but Samurai could be the counter type tank. Give it the ability Free Lunch that will let the Samurai use the counter moves without actually countering or something. Let the tanks be separated from each other by their perspectives! Blocking tank, self heal tank, counter tank, parry tank , drain tank and dodge tank. Lets see all these made before the game ends!
DPS: Red Mage
Come on SE, just take out the set of moves they had in the tactics games, slap on additional effects and add in chainspell to combine lots of spells together without the additional effects. Then, give it an MP refresh move or a ogc regen move (int based) or something for support. Lots of potential with Red Mage, lets see something good! Oh, but for the love of all that is good, do not make the main focus of the new DPS buff preservation like you did with Black Mage and Dragoon, some of us truly hate that. :(
Healer: ... no clue. Honestly, they are going to have to get inventive here. Maybe blue mage? Or perhaps Geomancer?
Just my 2 cents.
That's be pretty cool but I feel like the master of none heals would go over about as well as cure on a paladin, which is to say not well at all. I'm hoping we get something more akin to a melee class that can buff/debuff party members. Not the highest DPS but making up for it in utility kind of situation. I couldn't care less what they do with Samurai. I guess we'll see. Here's hoping we visit Ala Mhigo though!
All I want is Blue Mage, Red Mage and Beastmaster like a Beastmaster Hunter in WoW. Why? Because those jobs to me are the most iconic FF classes. No other game I've ever heard of has Blue Mage or Red Mage. Samurai are everywhere, Dark Knight, Death Knight, common in any RPG, etc... but Blue Mage? Red Mage? Never heard of those until Final Fantasy.
Thought about it for a while, and honestly I'd love to see two new classes at launch, and the third come in for story reasons mid way to add that extra kick of energy and excitement. I'd like DNC as a highly mobile caster, and either a healer or tank of any sorts to help out with the insane queue. At the midway point when people are starting to get bored with the same cycled content, then they finally release either RDM or SAM.
If I had to pick though,
DNC: Mobile caster
BLU: Tank
RDM: DPS
Assuming we're going east to liberate Ala Mhingo next expansion, Thavanir is in that general direction (I think), would include the sea travel, and could be the birth place of combat dancers and exotic mages who fight like beast. In the need to be resourceful as possible the Ala Mhigians found a way to be proficient in both destructive and restorative magic, while fighting in melee.
Given the Garlean occupation, and their necessary reliance on Magitek, I'm leaning towards a Magitek based class, so Runic / Rune Fencer.
I would like:
A IX inspired Blue Mage
Dancer
and something unexpected, like an entirely new job to FF or a rarely seen job.
(A Whip-using job would be nice too! >w> )
