Yip, I can never get a quick group as a healer for VA. Most of the time I give up after no progress in 30 mins in the queue.

I would've bought the damn thing for a single mil. There's a single Mhachi Coffin on my server but its priced at like 20 millions.

I still haven't seen either drop and that's with a lot of runs. I think for me the only silver lining is my rolls suck so I'm at least saving myself the heartache.

Got the minion on my alt >.> haven't seen it since and not yet the Coffin but tbf I run like 3 VA per week because it is no fun in that tier to me (which bothers me more) :(

Saw the minion drop today....rolled a 37 ...person who got it was the tank who caused us to wipe multiple times and overall could not play his class, not including name out of respect for players all the same...but thanks RNG.

Balmung, one of the most populated servers, has sold a grand total of 8. There is a single lonely coffer in sale for 20M.

Yeah, something here is definitively off. Right now this is rarer than T9 Furniture, T13's Statue, and Gobwalker Mounts.

I've been noticing a secret algorithm for rare drops like minions and mounts over time.

The worse a player performs/behaves, the more likely they are to get the drop everyone wants at the end to add insult to injury.

It would seem that karma is backwards with RNG drops.

On topic though, it's like I said earlier, people wanted "rare vanity things that not everyone can have" (don't make me dig up pony drop rate increase outrage threads) and this is almost the dev's sarcastic response.

I've seen one Echidna on Lamia but I've never seen it drop.

Lets talk about that zidane card? I bought 200 packs today and nothing.... I have spent 700K mgp, still nothing. The word rare takes a new definition in FFXIV

Both minion and coffin dropped today in the same instance, I rolled 3 for coffin and 50 for minion, did not get either.

But I did get the bard belt which I have never seen drop before either.

Not the point. Sure it's fine to have some things that are 100%, just as it is to have things that are 50% or 5% or 1%. It's the idea that something should have its % changed because not a lot of people are doing it that's so ridiculous.

I have been doing Void Ark once every week since its release and saw the coffin lid once and i won it :-)
Sold for 10 mil on the market board. Could have asked more probably because it was the only one.

Done VA loads, never seen a 4th chest, not once

got my ninja to 60 and a friend was trying to upgrade his BLM with the VA belt, He still hasn't seen it drop, I've seen it drop countless times when he's not there

took 17? runs for my ninja body to appear. (If I was healing) it would drop more -_-

oh and same 2 items from the same chest >< please.... we would get to sawtooth and the little message would pop in the chat window 'unable to obtain VA blah blah blah'

Bring in a token system PLEASE!!!

something akin to the savage Alex token system, keep the lockdown on 1 item per week but with tokens it would actually give people the chance of gearing up alternative classes without wanting to smash their heads against a wall because someone in the same class with BETTER GEAR took it.

I looked on the MB history at the coffin lids last night on Phoenix, on the 29th of December, 1 lid sold for 1M gil >< I cried :(


RNG system in this entire game is pathetically bad

I've never seen either item. Though I imagine they'll increase the drop rate once it's been out for a while.

I hope they increase the droprate before 3.2 hits, tbh .-.
It's just gonna become even rarer once the last incentive (the upgrade item) becomes irrelevant as well.
If you give your players no reason to run certain content, at least make the drop rates higher :(

they are minion.... plus don't forget that the item drop in content for 24 person, the chance that 1-3 person have one is already low then.... let's say it's kinda sad to make it quite rare.

ps: did i have said that when the 3.3 will be out almost no one will run this content anymore?

I've never actually seen items (outside of gear, obvs) drop from the CT's or Void Ark. That includes crafting mats, cards, minions etc.... :l Something smells fishy with this drop rate. Is it different per server or is it flat out a certain % across the board?

SE is having problems with people transferring to raid, I doubt they would give the items different drop rates per server

Not concerned with the items. If it does drop, then there's the challenge of rolling 99. If you didnt roll 99, you rolled 0.

That's what I've been saying, not only is there the ludicrous chance of the chest even appearing you've essentially got a 1/24 chance of it dropping.

It's not even about it dropping anymore for me...there isn't even any ever on the MB for me to buy! that is how rare this stuff is grrr lol

IB4 on raganrok only 2 in sell history and one lid and one coffer selling now fro 95kk (wtf). The first lid sold @300k and the second one @6kk, I feel sad for the first seller XD

i'm not new to how 24 man raids work, the 4th chest on the last boss is meant to be a pretty rare drop, but i've been running Void Ark quite a lot since it came out and i've seen the 4th chest drop only once. even with the 3 previous 24 man raids i would have seen the 4th chest drop at least 3 or 4 times by now, but only once in how many months?
also i've been checking the market board frequently but there is no coffin lids or the furniture you make with it on the MB, and no history of them being there, which makes me think the drop rate is a little to low. the only reason i run Void Ark at this point is for that extra chest drop, and with how long a run can take it kind gets aggravating with how it seems to never show up.:(

Hey, I don't remember EVER seeing any of the other crafting mats dropping from the other 24 man raids. I've seen the minion a few times in syrcus tower and world of darkness, though.

i haven't seen the crafting mats drop much in LotA/CT/WoD myself, but i've seen plent of minion drops from WoD/CT back when they were relevant content. Between the minion and the crafting mat from Void Ark i've only seen the minion drop 1ce since Void Ark came out. i'm kinda bummed out because the furniture looks really nice, but between the seemingly little to non existant drop rates for either of these items, and my tendency to always roll low on loot rolls it feels like it isn't really worth doing Void Ark for either of these. :/

I don't mind losing rolls because i know the winner will be happy!
We had 100% drops in the past and the only difference is that you could not sell them "high" on market board...
To consider selling pets for a few gil is just like making gil from "nothing" 100% doesn't mean you will always win the rolls...

they will eventually just like they did with older 24 man stuff

I've never actually seen them drop. My husband did get the pet on his first run but that is my only proof of their existence.

The reason the MB doesn't have the Coffin or Mats either is because Void Ark gear is DOA plus it looks god awful. No one is running it except for weekly drop. Sooo of course these items will be super rare.

Not true at all. People have posted their statistics on previous pages and they saw around a 2% drop rate. I've personally seen it once in about 70 runs. It's much, much lower than Puff and Onion originally.

That also has a lot to do with RNG. The drop rate could be 5% or higher and you'd still never see it. lol. RNGesus is all in this game.

RNG is a troll... took 150 Levi EX to see the Axe drop once (got it 10 runs after). Seen in that time 8 Mirrors (6 of them prebuff) and considering theoretically there been 9 (later as it took a while 10) possible weapons so droprate could/should have been every 10th+ run... but thats is pure theory ;)
As I only do 2-3 runs of VA per week idc not seeing them drop... maybe farmers suffer more ^^
