I can see how SE will ban everyone who abused so cruely this innocent system. It makes me so tearful to see SE try so hard and watch those who didn't even bother to see mel gibson's wonderful master piece...toy and destroy it with smiles on their faces. I'll have you know in some countrys that kind of act would get you stoned!

Those countries don't have internet or games, so we'd be safe of being stoned for power leveling.

I AM UPSET THAT THEY ARE UPSET THAT THE OTHERS ARE NOT UPSET.

Reality is no one is gonna be banned, and probably there will be no consequences for anyone "abusing" something which SE implemented. SE will want to retain as much of the people who are playing as possible while trying to get more because the moment this become P2P the population will hemorrhage heavily, they will put those band-aids in place to prevent death. People are probably less likely to quit when they have a higher level character.

Everything I said is correct if it's just 1 high level PLing 1 low level. If it's a high level PLing a low level party, just insert the word party where it belongs lol.

its always been the case that exp is calculated like that, since forever

exp has ALWAYS been based on your level, not the higher level in the party, ALWAYS(not counting the original exp gain formula at launch)

this is no mistake

It shouldn't matter how many people are in the party, nobody should be flying through levels and getting bullshits amount of xp.

They should make it so that mobs at a player's current rank will yield the most XP so that the higher level can still help them out. This way, XP isn't so ridiculous, it would in fact be normal XP gain but just at a faster rate since they have a PL.

If I am not mistaking Yoshida gave us permission 3 separate times to pwrlvl. twice before in dev post and once in a live letter.

So if he penalizes anyone after telling them it is 100% ok to do... well yea he will lose a ton of players.

An exploit is doing something wrong, he gave us permission to pwrlvl saying he feels it is 100% ok.

He was warned this would happen by hundreds of people, he ignored it, it is now Yoshida's fault not the playerbase. Would be like taking everyones gil away because leves use to give too much... so we exploited leves to get alot of gil.

SE thinks of ways to help the nice people who play the game
So they make power leveling
Then mean people come in and try and hurt SEs nice intentions and swarm the fields with weapons and plung them into SEs heart in the form of dodos.
Then everyone is sad that mean people are doing that
