Strange I never found this any harder as any others when playing it as WHM 60 my first time. Done it so many times since then, had to actually Google to see what the fight was as I never found any final bosses in the HW dungeons to be hard. I mean they were challenging but I didn't end that one for the first time thinking "MAN this is impossible for a healer." Felt no different than Aery or any other dungeon. Shrugs.

It's really not that hard at all even if your party is full of total morons you can more or less carry them though if DPS are dead a lot before the orb thing before he does his ultimate you might have issues getting them down in time. I've only wiped a couple of times and it was because the Tank kept derping into stuff and died. For WHM it's a little easier because you can just have divine seal media II and regens up constantly.

The boss has been nerfed hard. Altar Pyre seems to come less frequently and do less damage, chains break a lot more easily, and the tank damage is reduced. I was sitting on my AST waiting for damage to come, and it just never did. Take that for what it's worth.

It feels like the chains don't really hurt anymore even if you don't break them.
Went with my undergeared WHM and 2 mainly afk'ing dps yesterday, and both never really broke any chains but the dmg they got from the chains was so marginal that it didn't really matter..xD
I'm a bit sad about that. Yet another dungeon where you can ignore the mechanics and still win...

They supposedly 'eased the difficulty of 51+ dungeons'. So Im guessing they lowered the damage on the chain debuff because before each "attack" would do more damage than the last, hence why it was imperative to break chain quick as possible.
