If it makes grinding less of a pain, then it makes me happy.
If it makes grinding less of a pain, then it makes me happy.
Yeah but this thread is not about debate its about celebration and happiness that Power-leveling brings to us.
If you don't agree then please just stay out of the thread. You are bringing down our spirits with your trolling/negative attitude towards something we all enjoy. There are other ways to get your points across other then ruining other peoples threads. Here let me give you an example.
You walk into a random persons party that says " this party is for people who like football only" So you walk in even though you hate football. Then you walk up to 4 jocks talking about football and how they enjoy it so much. Next you say "hey football sucks and i hope the NFL stops funding it" What do you think they will do to you? I would think 1. either ask you to leave or 2. punch you in the face.
Now i hope you understand, you can go back to your other threads and be upset there, this thread is about joy that Power-leveling brings to the community.
Also supporters try your best not to argue with these people in the thread you are just encouraging them ^_^ just ask them to leave and show your support to the thread and maybe share a small story about how this change has made the game better for you.
An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages..
Forums have a specific set of jargon associated with them; e.g. a single conversation is called a "thread". <--- wiki.com
This thread is only for the sole purpose of expressing good feelings towards power-leveling. Why should i make a thread only for one side of the argument you asked; of what argument? there is no argument in my thread topic, or in the forum. The only argument in this forum is why you and a few others come here trolling and putting down our happiness.
You have no right in my thread to call anyone out because it is not up for debate, this is a thread for only people who agree with the topic. If you don't stop trying to change the subject and make this into a debate thread i will ask a mod to revoke your forum privileges for trying to troll my thread.
If you want to ARGUE about power-leveling then make your own thread and stop trying to bring down mine.
Three cheers for power leveling!

Lol @ "I hate powerleveling so much that I am going to do it every day and make threads about how bad it is!!!"
I hear the best way to protest something is to do/use it all the time!
Three cheers for morons!
^.~
Edit: HOW do you retards think you can sit there and use a feature you are protesting, and argue "QQ it isn't fair it took me so long to level" while you yourself are sitting there "bypassing leveling content" as you put it, and expect them to remove it. By removing it, they are effectively doing the same thing you argued about originally; you are arguing that it isn't fair for leveling to be so hard on you but easy on others, while you yourself are currently taking the "easy route" and expecting them to make it harder for future players.
Get your heads out of your butts, people.

yay for back to positive~~!
It brings players together, and this community needs that more than anything.
Higher level players need more players to run Ifrit, and low level players are completely lost. Kills two birds with one stone.
I dunno. I've been partying every day since patch release with people within an appropriate level range in camps that we have been scouting. IMO even LEGITIMATE grinding is still too fast. 1-40 in three or four days, about 6 hours on average each day. This isn't as bad as the cheap exploit of powerleveling currently, but still.
Before you assume what we are doing, remove your head from your own butt.
I would totally be for PLing in the form of cures, or a mild exp boost.
But the EXP gain right now is a bit too much. And the method of it is cowardly for the ones receiving.
Oh, and while people are whining about power-leveling being a cheap exploit: There are protests against Wall Street that are being violently suppressed. While the overall XIV experience is significant to a degree, there are more important things going on in the world than bantering about this one single aspect that's only irritating the elitist populace.
Gotta love being placed with that group. Must mean I'm special or something.Quote:

3 days ago my THM was 11 now its almost 38! yay Thanks SE for making partying fun ^_^
I'll just leave this here.

A typical example of ignoratio elenchi is the argumentum ad hominem, that is the attempt to link the validity of an argument to the reputation (broadly speaking) of the person or the people who support it. However, there exists many other forms of ignoratio; an example is provided by the film Thank You for Smoking:[5]
Nick Naylor: OK, let's say that you're defending chocolate, and I'm defending vanilla. Now if I were to say to you: 'Vanilla is the best flavor ice-cream', you'd say...
Joey Naylor: No, chocolate is.
Nick Naylor: Exactly, but you can't win that argument... so, I'll ask you: so you think chocolate is the end all and be all of ice-cream, do you?
Joey Naylor: It's the best ice-cream, I wouldn't order any other.
Nick Naylor: Oh! So it's all chocolate for you is it?
Joey Naylor: Yes, chocolate is all I need.
Nick Naylor: Well, I need more than chocolate, and for that matter I need more than vanilla. I believe that we need freedom. And choice when it comes to our ice-cream, and that, Joey Naylor, that is the definition of liberty.
Joey Naylor: But that's not what we're talking about
Nick Naylor: Ah! But that's what I'm talking about.
Joey Naylor: ...but you didn't prove that vanilla was the best...
Nick Naylor: I didn't have to. I proved that you're wrong, and if you're wrong I'm right.
Joey Naylor: But you still didn't convince me.
Nick Naylor: Because I'm not after you. I'm after them.

Thumbs up to the OP, I hope they are listening to our feedback as well.
Just did a normal pty tonight, it was very fun, and was like i was back to Valkurm Dunes. (also Exp was great, almost same as if there was a PL).
We were fighting a group of Ixalys, till a group with a high PL came take the camp and AoE everything we were exping on.
I'm up for PL, but, as it come with stupid ppl that overtake the camp from another normal group, i'm so much more against this system and more for a Level.Sync one.
Or make a limit, so that a R50 can't PL on R45 less mob lvl. So the PL have to fight mob of his lvl for the leeches getting exp. I have leech 2 lvl on the new bastion, and i don't think someone was disturbed by that.
Met a new player today, who had just finished their Leves and didn't know what else to do content wise. I explained a few things about her options but then just decided "oh well I'll just change my job to a lower ranked one" so 5 levels later after a run through some of my own leves, she was more knowledgeable about the game, made a new friend, and actually felt more inclined to play. I learned right after he had just planned to log when she had run out of her own leves. She also got into a new linkshell.
Now she forms party groups with people inside the Linkshell and runs leves with them too. She works at a good pace since she got to level 19 in three days. That's not bad considering she was never mentioned power leveling. The game isn't that bad to rank up now, I don't see the need to power level. If people would be social and meet people, they'd be more inclined to play. Power leveling doesn't do that, it was meeting a person to group with that did.
You say that now, but when the chaos of the real world starts affecting your life in-game you'll be singing a ♪very different tune♪. Apathy is the tool of the Devil, or in this case the money grubbing aristocrats who'll do anything and everything to keep you from taking the initiative against the impending shit-storm. All the while, every last penny and ounce of strength you have will be invested into bantering in online forums rather than trying to take action - being more constructive in solving these problems. It's a shame that people are more content sitting on their asses and bitching about the small stuff, it truly is.
Sorry I don't have that type of money to even go out and help if i did i would and i wont even be talking too you.
And hey buddy guess what you doing? you complaing about the people who are trying to save this game so what that tell me about you? big talk for a person who doing the same thing anyways this is my last post on this topic. good luck everyone SE said they going to fix the issue yoshi-p goal was for ppl to hit max within 2-3month and this powerlevel system it broken goodbye.
I support this.
Sam you said its the dumbest thing you ever "heard" (you read it)... anyways i was talking about the thread not the game, so maybe now its not the dumbest thing you ever "heard"... you see Sam i was trying to explain to someone how retarded it is to come into this thread when i clearly asked them to stay out in the threads title... this may be hard for you to understand... if you need me to make it more simple for you to "hear" just let me know.
Gamers now a days.... completely don't get the point of MMORPGs or most other game types anymore -.-
Thank you SE for the Powerleveling. It is a lot of fun. <3
As a 50 LNC 50 ARC I don't want to spend as much time leveling another class. I will help friends level other classes with PL and get PL'd.
Looks like this thread is more popular than the crying babies' - please SE leave PLing as it is!
I am one of those people who levelled his 1st class to 50 back in November last year, with random SP gains (0-500) and 12hr/day grind parties on eft/raptors. I don't want everyone else to suffer what i did, because it is bad for the game; Now it is fun to level up fast and everyone's happy!
Powerleveling will be balanced but it will still exist, so go plvl while xp is the way it is.
Although I am undecided on whether or not I will use the power leveling system, I think the real question we need to ask is how does it affect the game? It's attracting more players that don't have the time or just don't enjoy the grind to get to 50. It's also allowing more current players to feel comfortable enough to invite their friends to play. So the end result is a higher server population. There are always people who are going to feel cheated because someone got something easier than they did. Just remember, while that may piss you off, I guarantee you will be more pissed when all your hard work is for nothing if SE shuts down the servers because they don't feel the game will ever be profitable. The other day I saw a new player shouting where could he find lower level smith gear, I grabbed what I had from when I started leveling that job and gave it to him, by the reasoning of the negative posters on here I cheated. How dare I give someone something that so many others had to work so hard for??? Sounds silly when you put it into perspective huh. This game resembles real life in one glaring aspect, it is what you make of it. Life, as well as play time, is too short to be angry all the time.
Power level is not a word i would use unless your srsly sitting there or atleast 6 of you r just sitting there and 2 r killing. " Grind " Would be a better word due to the 8 people killing EXP friendly mobs for hours on end. just saying
If I could 'like' DexteraDomini's post above more than once I would. Great post and it sums up my feelings pretty well.
