because you are asking/ making a poll/ even bringing up the idea to push one button and instant win/cap in a video game. Its like playing zelda ( insert video game) and making a button in menu to instantaneously beat the game for you.

and that is why people are saying bad things. Azurymber this is not a single player game, i can understand for single player game it might sound fun to have cheat code to use for laugh/etc short lived fun but you share this game with other people, and event hen the fun will be short lived. if everyone roams around max level what will there be to do in the endgame besides ifrit battle?

I hate to say it but this is not world of warcraft where almost everything is at endgame/stuff gets handed down.

Um, I am a player, and I play with lots of other players as well, and we all don't want this.

The only way this should ever be considerd is for PVP. Guild Wars allows you to create maximum level characters for use in PVP but you can't use it for PVE.

As a returning player i can honestly say removal of leveling or rather "instant endgame" would destroy all sense of achievement, and making it optional would make leveling lose all sense of purpose for those who do want to level up.

leveling is a learning experience to aid in getting used to the game piece by piece, without it the player base new and old would have even less content to pay for, don't even get me started on choosing equips!

Azure the sarcasm in your post is oozing.

Then again when I first seen that comment in a few threads I knew it was only time before someone made this post. I have to laugh at the people taking it super seriously though. As it stands players are pretty much rank 50 if they feel like applying themselves for a few hours anyways.

I care not for the endeavor of slaving away in front of my monitor to conquer the NMs involved in the storyline. I couldn't care less for the interactions with other players because I seldom get assistance from my own server. All I care about is the story, everything else is just for aesthetic pleasure. I'll gladly endorse this.

It's either this, or make it solo-friendly like it was before the patch. I can't level up as quickly on my own anymore since I burn through my Guardian's Aspect in less than a day and on a lower difficulty because whenever I try to tackle the harder difficulties I get swamped in less than ten seconds. Not to mention how much I despise having to be forced to pick up another class and slave even more just to get the tactics and abilities I need just to progress further. It's redundant and not as laid-back when I signed up just a little over a week ago.

I was going to commit if it was more laid-back, but now I'm starting to regret even making an account for XIV. There are just as many elitists here as there are on WoW, GW, Aion, pretty much all MMOs across the board. The appeal for picking up XIV in the first place was the solo-friendliness so I could avoid pricks like those who pollute the thread with their incessant and degenerate trolling, but it seems no matter where I go it's inevitable that I'll encounter them. It's a shame, really.

People are already terrible at the game as is, how would you like playing with people who instantly levelled their class to 50? The road to your first 50 is not supposed to be work, it's for experiencing all parts of the game and learning how to play your class.
