I feel obligated to defend myself when someone consistantly puts words in my mouth. If it was merely a matter of that person having a difference of opinion, then I would have let it go 3 posts ago, as its impossible to change anyones opinion on this site. But I refuse to let someone blatantly put words I never said in my mouth in an attempt to make themself look better. I am begining to understand, however, that that is all this site really is for.

That is true but your response to him wasn't helping matters much. I can understand the frustration but personally attacking someone to retort for what they did was only going to send the thread in one direction. I'm not saying what he said is right, far from it, but it's better to keep a cool head and respond in a calm manner to clear up things than to let the thread nosedive into a pit of flaming and insults.

If what someone says is insulting or rude, the best thing to do is put them on ignore and report their post using the 'report post' button, then the devs usually remove that post from the thread, and them being on ignore means you don't have to put up with them if they try again. :)
