That's making a whole mess of assumptions about mechanics. Plenty of games let you control a pet without losing perspective on your character. Part of the draw.

See, why don't we have those wings for Dreadwyrm Trance? Maybe a smaller version since we're not fully channeling Bahamut like we do with Teraflare. That would make that skill much more epic than just a buff we get.

TO be fair not everyone can play the International Version. Not legally anyways.
