That doesnt make any sense with the problems going on. How can there be an order to log in when there is no queue. Just constant 1014 errors.

I understand that with the amount of people logging in, any MMO ever would experience the same problems, so I'm not raging.

...I just kind of wish SE would make 2002 less obnoxious. 2002 has to crash the game and client? Really?

Another one with the dreaded 1014 error on Cerberus, can't get back in :(

Dude this has nothing to do with incompetence. Sometimes crap happens during the launch of a game/expansion. FFXIV is not the first to have issues like this and it certainly won't be the last. Just kick back and wait for the devs to fix whatever issue is at hand, the game isn't going anywhere.

I totally understand having issues on launch day; it's expected!

However, I hate that 2002 crashes the entire game client.

Same problem on Cerberus. Got kicked out "Disconnect" and then this pops up all time i try to connect again... :(

It makes me laugh. People fail to understand what early access truly is. Especially in the first few hours. We ARE the stress test. This is the measuring stick used for the hard launch. They are gunna screw up with the soft launch. That's its purpose.

Pretty much this, just seeing how much the servers can take etc.. As much as I already know this it's still very very annoying.

The fact that it's accepted that most games will have problems on launch day is kind of ridiculous. It IS actually possible to be fully prepared. You can rent equipment to do temporary upgrades to infrastructure. I mean honestly... if game companies just took what they thought they would need, then doubled it, we wouldn't ever have this problem. Keep the rented equipment for a few weeks to a month and you're golden. It's so easy to do this in this day and age. I don't accept that it's the norm for launches to be this unstable.

I guess the whole Primal Data Center is having issues? Can't even get to pass that part anyway.

I agree here. Getting 2002'd or 5006'd should not crash the client. I am fine with not being able to get onto data server so long as I do not have to continue to enter my PW and key every time I get that error

You know the difference between the IT team there saying we'll need X amount of hardware to cover this or it'll fail hard and the Finance department actually allowing/paying it? SE is a business and this, as frustrating as it is will not really damage the game's subscription in the slightest so they'll see it as an acceptable or low rated risk in not paying for additional hardware.

And 2002......

This 2002 stuff is pissing me off beyond words. Why the hell does it have to crash the whole client?! This is completely maddening!

just error 5006 over and over. wouldn't be so bad if it just threw me into a login queue, but no, closes the damn game too.

While this situation does suck, getting mad and throwing insults at the Devs isn't going to make the fix happen any sooner. Though people handle frustration in different ways and I cannot fault anyone for being upset, though I am going to take this as a sign that I should head to bed since I have an all day meeting starting at 10am.

Also sweet Jesus its been forever since I last posted here! It still had me registered as a level 22 Lala O.O. Though I was able to do a race change before the crash, so even this cat dude avatar is old.

I had hoped we would have bigger queues this time, I'd rather wait 1 hour in a queue like I did for Warlords of Draenor than try non-stop to get past the 1014 error.

Back in on Cerby but seems like it got rolled back a few minutes.

Were not here to stress test anything. SE knows the server capacities already. The only real solution is to wait for players to get pissed off, leave the queue or just not logging and then rest of us can get on. They said before that at launch too many players are logging in. Once that subsides to the average login they want to handle then it will ease up. That's not likely to ever happen over early access weekend or the 23rd. And no this was not to be expected since the servers were already beefed up for last debacco at first launch in 2013. People not playing the game is what solves this issue were all having. Sad but it's true. I wish you all well and will keep trying to login myself lol.
