See, this is what I hate about the Ascians as a whole:
If they were really concerned about their goal, they could've all worked together towards one big plan instead of each of them doing their own thing.

Hell, I'd even understand or even sympathize if they started answering (or us, QUESTIONING ourselves) the big questions related to their back-story and purpose.
But no. They're just acting like the usual arrogant "mwahaha" evil organization nº180 billion...

Igeyorhm kinda did that when she questioned why we despise the primals, the embodiments others desire, and then asked if it's because we desired a an opponent to fight.

But yes, most of the Ascians seem too overconfident to try to make us see their point of view. This same mentality has gotten three overlords killed in main scenario, and four minions unceremoniously killed near an abandoned library in the SMN questline.

Those four out right come to you at level 60 seeking revenge. I believe 60 summoner is locked behind MSQ, at least from what an FC mate said, having completed it myself the dialog made sense for that to be the case.

I have a friend who got the Dreadspawn title before End of Ascalon, so no, that's not the case. It's perhaps a case of how content from any given patch will react differently based on your completion of same-patch or earlier content, but not later content. I imagine they come seeking revenge for Nabriales if you do it before then, as the new Job quests are gated behind the 2.55 MSQ.

Bit of a wonder if urianger might either know something about Elidibus' concerns, or if the WoD is Elidibus' way of convincing the need for the "Equilibrium" by providing a proper foil for our characters.

It could also be that the WoD is sent to provoke a reaction from us. Most of the enemies that require our legendary strength are monstrosities with no PR(at least, none by the time we draw steel) but how far will we go to see Mr. average looking Derplander dead? Enough to cause rifts in the adventuring community and start a "WoD was right" movement? :)

I may be way off from the plot, but I think what 3.0 ended on was our rapid ascendancy from one brand of overpowered (a untouchable "fugitive") to another(unstoppable destroyer). Whether it comes from without or within, staying at the top forever just isn't in the cards for 3.x.
