Exactly my point then. You saw his facts and believed them to be true, did you not? I don't see why you'd be defending it so much it this wasn't the case. I'm sure there is quite a few people that are in the same boat, and I'm sure at least one of them is capable of creating a WTF thread.

Yes I know I believed it, but when I saw other peoples thoughts it opened a new door. So All I have to say at this point is will see what happens. If it does it does, if it doesn't it doesn't. Personally If it came out in October it wouldn't bother me because they have a lot of work with this patch I don't expect it to be done this soon. it just would be nice type thing.

Building off of what others have already said in this thread, seeing as how the event starts at 1am PDT on the 22nd, I'd say patch day would have to be the 21st! :cool:

After catching up since I posted on page 1 or 2, I would love for it to be the 21st/22nd but, the Oct date seems like it would be better and actually from what ideas have floated by; may be the best scenario AFTER the event. Like Starlord said, either or, I'm happy.

If it doesn't Happen on the 21st then it will most likely be up after the event

1 thing that's Obvious this Event is either :

A~ Preparing for the upcoming patch ( Information based of the Company of the nation you go to)
B~ Start of Recruiting when ( and if) Patch hits Sept 21st

Both point are Vaild but only one will Prevail, We all would like it to come on Sept.21st ( for our 1 year Anniversary)
On the other hand I don't want a rushed Patch either. So if its done great if not I would like SE to take their time to make sure all the kinks are out so we don't have one of these problems:

i have to admit the way they posted this makes it really easy for the games community to possibly misconstrue its intentions.
this, however, is SEs fault.
i too can see why everyone would think it, with out a doubt, will be release between the 21st and 22nd, however i think its just plain unrealistic to think SE would be so nonchalant about such a large patch release hint.
yeah they totally made it seem like were getting the patch next week, but since i know SE better than that i think its much more fair to assume theres more to it than that, such as a "recruit players for when the patch does go live in 2 more weeks".

If yes - then patch 1.19 will probably be after
If no - OMG!! 1.19!!! or.... it's something else... a mystery... just like how my rainbow subligar is a mystery.

Well they said that grand company seals will be added under the "Currency" tab, maybe you trade in your seals and they get converted to the new coins.

As for the event (Sorry if someone already posted this) I'm thinking it might be like how before ToAU was released for FFXI the mercenary company let out some employees to scout for potential recruits that ended up giving you a mini quest to help them out. Those quests resulted in you getting extra imperial currency when ToAU actually came out and you ended up joining that mercenary company.

The quest might not be the same but maybe doing the event will give you some bonus Company Seals once you actually join one.

Anyway, did I missed something about the moon event ? Are the nuts just useless (not even talking about the earring) ? I was kinda hoping for a two parts event like we had with the eggs, but Foundation Day isn't it obviously ^^

I have always wondered about that subligar.

And indeed, unless this event can be found in the .dat file from the last patch or somewhere in the original games installation, then it means around September 22nd we'll be seeing either a 1.18b or whatever we'd be on with 1.18 now, or the long awaited 1.19.

I was thinking about it earlier though. Over the past week S.E have been posting changes that'll be featured in 1.19, and this info has been released every day or two. We haven't had one in the last couple of days, so it's possible they're now compiling them all into a patch and testing to make sure it'll deploy properly.

Plus when you think about it, you don't waste time making trailers for a patch when you're meant to be making the patch itself, wark wark ;)

On one hand, September 22nd is astronomically speaking the first day of autumn/spring (hemisphere dependant) so this date would coincide nicely with the "by the end of summer" goal and would also fit nicely with the fact that as of 1.19 we will be able to join a company proper.

On the other hand, the fact that they are having such a simple event for two weeks also suggests that they are using this as filler time before a patch that is delayed a little longer than promised, just so we don't scream any louder than coming short of shattering glass.

It could go either way.

Think at the same time, player moral will be boosted to quite an enormous degree :p

Actually, I didn't think that the patch would be released on Oct. 11th, since that's three weeks behind schedule to what they originally predicted. It seems like everytime a patch gets majorly delayed like that, they've come out a week or two in advance and stated it'll be late. Since they haven't done that (yet), we're all gunning for the 21st!

I'm concerned that you've spent more time on the forums than actually playing the game assuming you like the game.

Anyways since QA is running from a Yoshi post that indicates the patch is ~2 weeks or less out. I think it will be the middle of the "recruitment event" like the 29th or so.

By standing in our producer and developer team's position, I doubt they like these kind of rumors/assumptions on patch release date. False notices spread by players always create unnecessary whiners when no patch is released on the assumed date. Somehow, producer and the developer team is blamed for something that is not done/set by them :confused: Have mercy :D

I feel that patch 1.19 will be released after the coming event. It will definitely be a great news to me if patch 1.19 or 1.19a is released before that. Why torture own feelings by expecting too high, then feeling down due to not meeting such expectation? :cool:

Yup.

What you can see about my character in the forum is that it's a rank 26 conjurer.

What you can't see is that she has every other class (Battle, Crafting & Gathering) around the rank 20 mark.

So yeah, I do still play a lot whilst still finding time to talk for quite a while on the forum :p

I'd hate to support the patch prediction people but if there's no update before the event shouldn't someone be able to find stuff for the event via .dat mining?
