Sooo... anyone bumped into Joldewin the goldsmith yet ?

EDIT : Found him, he pops at the same spot as Alfgar does (Uldah, near Gogorano the repair npc)

The only problem with that is that the "red flashes" went to whoever /emoted at the bombard first after it stopped. Since you had a dozen or so people spamming emotes at it the first day, it'd be impossible for some people to actually get their required interaction.

IMO the best way to do it is to make it an actual quest and let you bring a party to complete it.

No... but I killed rats and got a moonlet and some nuts... Is that it?

What is the slot cost of the Moonlet?

Also I think it's a great lore related event. Not everything has to be a huge undertaking to keep me entertained. But, haters gonna hate anyway.

Respawn rate is pretty awful as well. Was doing fine alone at the mythril pits, but then an archer comes and downtime is pretty long.

I went to every settlement this morning and it looked like the one by Nine Ivies was the least busy.

Anyway.... tried to see if I could use the nuts on the rats. No luck.

I've slaughtered lots of rats and got 2 achievements for this (seems you get another one for killing a lot of them). I also got a new background for my profile picture.

I've talked to Joldewin (pops at the same spot as Alfgar), you can interrogate him on different topics but it seems that it doesn't trigger anything (no new achievement or quest).

Well I guess for a worst case scenario this could have a part 2 to it, like the easter event.

You know, I keep forgetting about that for some reason.

They mentioned something about the lord of the rats, I was thinking maybe there is more to that somehow.

I got the profile pic too. One thing i noticed in the settlement outside drybone, was that at some point lvl 35 moon-tooth mobs came out, like 10 at a time. and they all droped the earring.
Just happened once though.

So anyone figure out a recipe to use the nuts they drop + seen any +3 earrings drop?

Been farming 1 hour and killed lots but didn't see any tooth ones pop when i was there killing for first 45 min since event started so gotta check it out again.

I tried to synth the nuts with the earring to see if anything happened. No luck.

Maybe the R35s drop a 3rd nut that you need? Wish I could do some more trial and error, but got classes now ><

Cheese it should just pop up on its own, i didnt talk to the guy or anything and I got the picture before I got both achievements so maybe ur lodestone if laggy XD didn't load my second achievement till i came back from class xD

EDIT: D'oh, I just checked again and it's there! Thanks for sending some good juju my way, haha.

The achievements happen after you log in/out. Takes roughly 5-10 mins after a log in/out attempt.

Achievement one seems to be just to kill one rat.
Achievement two seems to kill a higher number.

This is a dumb event... -.-

If this is all there is to it, I don't know if I've ever seen a dumber one.

What outpost were you at?

The NPC only specifically mentions the camp by Horizon... Coffer & Coffin. Maybe the lord of rats only spawns there?

I doubt it's done. There's going to be a confrontation with whatever trained the rats at the very least.
