Just found out this yesterday while wandering the Golden Saucer, so I hope I'm not too late!

So take a battle shot, a scenic shot, a makeover, and a forest shot, and record our introduction/elimination speech? How do you want them sent, by email or somesuch?

If you'd like to get started now in order to give you more time to work on the other 8 photoshoots/other recordings you'll receive if cast in the show, you may!

The folder you submit will include everything...all 12 photoshoots, your voice work, and your extra pictures (for elimination, introductions, etc). I'll only accept the one folder submission.

This folder is due by May 22nd, but you can turn it in before hand! But you can't turn it in until you've been cast and seen the full photoshoot list/voice recording list/extra pitures list! xDDD

Last Cycle I let models email me 1 picture at a time, 1 voice recording at a time, etc and it was HELL. So for Cycle 2 i will be requiring all models to put everything in one folder, all nicely labeled, and sent to me in a zip folder through email! ((I will post my email along with the Cast List on April 10th, and models will have 3 days to email me asking for the photoshoot list. If I dont here from them in those 72 hours, they will lose their spot in the competition! :O))

The "Mentorship Program" also starts on the 10th, and that will be 2 or 3 past models who you can submit your shots to and ask them what they think, and retake your pictures around their advice if you so choose.

Also, I will ask all the cast models to join me and the other models in a Skype Group Chat, as that is the only place I will answer questions! (( I want to be as public as possible so all models receive the same information! ^^ And to avoid any perceived bias! ))

All this information will be in the "Youve been Cast!" email, so don't worry if it doesn't make sense now! :D If you get cast, it will all have more details and rules, etc.

tl;dr - If you'd like to take pictures/record stuff now, just in case you are cast, you can! But I wont receive any of it until May 22nd, or until you are finished with everything!

Great list (also some really great competition here, I'm nervous >.<), but PLEASE that is a horrible misspell and misconception of my name. Yes, my account name as it appears in the forums is Maleha, however I did cite the name of my character as Masha FAshOnti, not Foshanti. Just pointing that out in case that form might actually stick and confusion will be around. >.<
(I am actually quite used to being adressed as Masha now, so let's go with that ^^)

As for the reward, Rongi, I feel 1 month is already a huuuge thing, something none of us expected entering! Don't go out of your way with finances to top that amazing feat even more is my take on this though. :o It's a great reward, but I hope none of us entrants forget that we entered this for fun's sake and (maybe) a few bragging rights.

I'm sorry, Masha! I did the list while on my phone and probably mixed things up with all the small type! I should have enough hype fodder now that I can do more screenshots for the contest instead of trying to get my fix haunting these threads!

Finding a voice for a Male Roe might be difficult. Hmmmmmm.

If you use a program like Audacity to record you can do pitch changes of your voice to pass off as higher or lower than you are. If that's what you're worried about. If you're worried about people recognizing you, Audacity covers that too xD

Listening to yourself recorded can be really jarring... I'm fairly used to it since I've done auditions and what not like this in the past (my voice sounds so much higher recorded) the best thing for it is just to record and listen to yourself a lot, and you may want to do that anyway so you make sure it sounds allright to you. Hey if anything perhaps another person would come forward willing to voice for you :3

I got voted out in round 9 iirc. Was the Farming/Feeding the Realm themed one just before the merge happened.

There are 2 ways you can deepen the sound file, by pitch or speed. Or both combined. If you do play with speed you may want to have the original track be recorded faster than you intend so slowing it down sounds natural... As a girl I've played with this a lot to try and pass off as a boy. I haven't done it in a while though. XD

Also, if you have a certain setting combination you like for the edits, save that information! You'll have multiple files to record and you want them all to sound thevsame, right?

Definitely! Continuity is something that's required heh.
I'm just a male college student so obviously I wouldn't have a natural deep voice like I'd want to ;u;...

But, if anyone /does/ have a great voice that can impersonate a roe, go for it >.>;

Trying to take that battle shot had me remembering the hours I camped places for the right weather... and that rewarding feeling when you finally get the shot you wanted.

Haven't done this with an intro, what sort of things are we expected to say? (For example).
Who we are, what we like, server, etc?? Or ?

Lovin all the battle shots! Keep up the great work everyone. Hope to see more model hopefuls!

The introduction will be used in Episode 0: Meet the Models! So really, it's your time to say whatever you want that you think needs to be said in an introduction. If you watch Episode 1 of Cycle 1, you'll see the models said something along the lines of "My name is _____ from ____ server, and I (will do something)." Put your own little spin on it! Midge even talked about her boobies! haha. I am giving models longer than 7 seconds this Cycle, so maybe talk about why you are Eorzea's Next Top Model, or How you hope to at least not get eliminated first. xD

Episode 0 will also have some "Looking at the Audition Pictures, who looks like your biggest competition?" type questions, as well as some "How many warks would a chocobo wark if a chocobo did not kweh?" riddles, and "Favorite photoshoots from past Cycles?" type questions too, just so we can really see a bit of your personality! But all that is being finalized and will be sent out in the "welcome to the cast!" email! ^^

I'm actually excited for this! Even though I may not get cast I've already done some of the photo's that have been set out!

Seeing all these amazing screen shots has really got me worried that I won't make it. I swear everyone has really handsome/pretty characters! (Also I feel like taking my scenic shot inside was a stupid risk. >_<)

I really like all of your shots, Koh'll! Risks make you stand out sometimes and I do like your indoors scenic shot too.

So many really great entries. I've really gotta really step up my game, especially on the action-front it seems. It's just soooo difficult to get something good when your only battle classes are mages and you're a solid 2 feet tall.

And yeah it can get tricky when you're a lala (the camera angles sometimes nghn) I don't know if it can help but I try my skill animations on a training dummy seen from different angles before taking shots with an actual mob. I was also wearing vit accessories (if you have any) and lower level gears to reduce my damage so I can get more attacks in before the mob dies. The extra vit also helps if the mob you're trying to pose with is a bit stronger. Most aren't really dangerous though so any other kind of accessories that doesn't give you stats that are beneficial to your class would probably work too.

After taking a look at the other applicants as well as the imgur that Rongi posted with past models, I reworked my application images a bit! uwu; Still unsure about battle shot, since I don't have cool classes like ninja high enough for those neat looking skills.

You're not the only one Oce! I was fretting over my scenic shot since it was the only one I took in a hurry. The others I took my time due to mobs or other players intruding lol. I left my old scenic shot so you can clearly see the difference!

Plus learning a couple tricks is handy too! <3

I'll give a little friendly advice. Careful on how you try to replace your current shots, or try multiple times. In the past I ended up replacing two amazing shots, for pretty lackluster ones because I kept getting so worried about this or that... Then I ended up showing them in the ENTMGD thread and everyone loved them over the ones I had actually submitted XD

Sometimes (not always) you might want to consider going on your first instinct.

That's very true! But I'm pretty sure the new scenic shot is better. Same background. Same outfit. Different lighting and pose.

No no no no!! I meant no one in specific. I just noticed a lot of you were saying you were changing this or that, it was more of be cautious on what you change just because others are changing, or you start to doubt yourself ^.^ Sometimes a little confidence can go a long way, that and first instincts can be point on sometimes.

Yeah take it easy on the replacing for sure. Yesterday I found out I had taken about 200+ shots trying to get a great battle shot for the challenge and quickly realized that I needed to tone it down.
Make sure to pace yourself and don't underestimate your own ability.

I wont make any final decisions until the 9th @ 11pm Central USA time, so feel free to replace shots as you think necessary! But like Marik said, trust your gut! ^^

So many applicants. I don't want to turn any of you away. ; ; If I knew 100% of you wouldn't quit, this would be easier. But I really expect 2 of you to quit. xD DONT! haha.

The ones that get turned away can try Forum cycle 4 XD I have a penchant for wanting to do too much anyway... I will have to refrain from auditioning there too >_> I will 100% audition there if you turn me away, but I want to do the YT process :3
