Job Sets

Sch looks decent... Besides the top hat thing...

I like them all, for the most part. I like the mage looks ; ; I could always imagine other things, but I would enjoy having the WHM/BLM/SMN outfits. I play SCH but the eyepiece scares me! Absolutely love the bard as well.

Also gushing at the environments in the video, I love it! Died at the fisher gear. Ohhhh my god those glasses LOL

Thought it ever since they showed off the artwork, but Bards really does just make me think of Dancer more than Bard >_>

I think SMN definitely wins here. One of the only jobs I never play, making me want to rethink that >_>

As a MNK I knew what was coming with this one....it's alright :P nice to have something more martial artsy than the usual thuggish fare. Bit plain though. And the weapon is rather bizarre!

Also I think the BLM outfit only suffers from its singular colour. If it was more varied there I think people would like it more. Better than the hideous normal AF, I get they were going for the traditional look, but that baggy robe still looks off to me.

Again, you mean :p The SMN AF gear plus the i90 reiteration also have the forehead genitalia horn. This one looks a lot better than those, IMO.

I also prefer this SCH version to the clunky, goofy i45/50 and i90 versions. Yeah, some bits of it may be a little odd looking, but on the other hand I've never had the inclination to use a single piece of the SCH AF gear =/
(Except maybe the skirt on female characters. Maybe.)

I also like the BLM gear -- and I hope it's not too different-looking on guys. The hat not so much, but those boots :O For once, the BLM did not get shafted. (My opinion, I know others have called this as much of a costume as the Evenstar gear, which I don't agree with at all =D )

I think the one I like the least is the Warrior gear, but I have to agree it at least fits the theme of the job, even if I'm not too fond of the aesthetics of said theme :p

I really don't know how to respond to the BLM gear. I kinda like the hat... kinda. I'm happy my avatar is a female however–I'd hate to be wearing that on a male... looking suspect as shit.

The weapon is amazing though/

I honestly do not hate the SCH gear. It has a very steampunk aesthetic to it. Perhaps I am seeing it incorrectly, but those look like cylinders or vials on the sleeves. Filled with medicine or potion/chemicals of some kind? I genuinely like it.

About the BLM outfit, it really, really appears to be a nod back to the Magus BLM upgrade from FF3.

Most of the outfits look pretty cool to me. I do admit BLM and WHM look a little shafted again though. Bard reminds me of that crazy prince.

I'm not a fan of the new sets. Recompose prease.

Summoner is my favorite by far. Sadly I main WHM and am totally NOT feeling that silly nun outfit. It's so plain and boring. -_-

Blm and Sch looks like they are getting ready for Bloodbrone.

But I kinda like the fantasy Victorian fashion.

Smn looks ancient Greek

Pld and War looks ok but too much design and patterns, like those too many cooks spoil the soup thingy.

Whms are Nuns and Male whm can now Crossplay a nun lol.

Ninja and Brd seems like the only ones that look great.

I am so not liking the White Mage mythic. They could have at least put a sash or something around Hydaelyn instead of having her all hanging out like that. >,<

also ... I really hope that the WHM chest doesn't take up 2 pieces. Just like the wand/shield combos for casters, chest/head - leg/shoe gear is inferior

Scholar look like he about to say indubitably indeed and need to work at Hogwarts. I like BLM but omg why is that the AF2 >.>?At least we have a nice staff. SMN looks way better. War fugly. Pld is nice and noble, but neither look better than DRK! I think Astro AF2 look better than the other heals as well. Monk is ok, DRG is cool. They hit a home run with Bard. Ninja just looks like a ninja.

Eh, evenstar wasn't too bad, it was just the boner tail that killed it :/ Which is making me think, they chose a non-tailed race (out of two) to show it off, which makes me hope they aren't slapping a boner tail on it again, but want us to find out later on

I really like the gear in general. SMN looks amazing, BRD looks neat, NIN looks awesome even as a lala. I really like the WAR axe and the PLD cape.

What's up with BLM though? Mayhaps it's the race they chose to show the gear on? It look weird not having some kind of robe. Yes I know: subjective. MNK disappoints me to the max. Once again a bikini top and these weapons folks.. They get bigger and weirder.

The crafter gear is just mindblowing. Can't wait to get started.

the mnk armor will probably look insane on girl, some armor are more for girl and other are more for man.

DRG - I never liked the original AF even though it's iconic, I don't like this one either :)
WAR - Really suits the climate *.*
SCH - Wow this one is really a totally different feel to the original AF, loving that monocle though xD
MNK - This may get me to switch to male again...it looks beautiful ...well the clothes do...that weapon is vile.
SMN - This is the closest to the original and I'm glad, you can't have a SMN without a horn, and this AF is probably the most beautiful of all the new ones....I still wouldn't re-roll SMN though...too complex for me.
NIN- Hmm I can't really tell if there is a difference between the AF we have now and this one? (my eyes are crap)
BRD - ....WOW and that Bow is like a full on Zither/Harp now not just an attachment *.*
BLM - Such a beautiful costume, I hope we have visor for the eye patch thing...it would look even better.
PLD - I do not really like heavy armor designs, so no comment.
WHM - Hmm...don't like it and the relic looks quite gaudy >.<

I don't really focus on glamours for crafters/gatherers, but I really like the new Armorer and Goldsmith.
As for gatherers...Botanist looks amazing...and Fisher one has probably just persuaded me to level Fisher from 1 to 50...and to maybe re-roll male...because that exposed midriff is HOT.

I'm a fan of the DRG and PLD AF2 sets. Looks pretty sweet. Even though I'll be shifting to DRK when Heavensward is out after getting those two jobs to 60.

While you are technically correct in the lore sense, modern WHM in Eorzea has a very much saint-like nuisance to it. After white magic was misused and caused widespread disaster, it was once buried away as a forbidden power, only to be later revived by the Padjals and passed down in secret as the power used to guard over the forests. So modern WHM do indeed convey the image of protectors, holy, sacred.

I'd like to see some more variation that perhaps involve a more adventurous image, but I don't think they're entirely off the mark with the current designs.

Hrm, I actually like the MNK weapon, but why, oh why, do they keep giving us these outfits that look like someone grabbed a bunch of cloth scraps and stuck them together with some belts and ropes? In a serious fight half that stuff would fall off. I can't imagine it doing anything to actually protect the body either.

I don't know, I think white mages (or rather, Padjal) in their current incarnation can still be quite scary when you think about them - we do kill a lot of stuff in our class/job quests and the protection of the Shroud over anything else has some pretty scary consequences. No one really likes Padjals, or at least that's the impression I got. There's a dark side to the role that is never reflected in our gear and it's a shame. Not a lot of balance for a class who is all about it :/

The warrior set really stood out for me too. Definitely made for the climate.
