DRG is by far the easiest class. All you do is find the nearest edge or AOE and leap to your deaths. Seems to be the way it's played from what I can make out anyway, haven't touched it since 1.0 myself.

Dark Knight is the easiest. Dark Knight will walk up to Alexander like:
DRK: Dont worry guys, I got this.
Party: Uhhh..you sure?
DRK: Im sure.
Party: It's pretty big though.
Drk: Guys guys..*cool voice* I got this.
*Walks to Alexander* Abracadabra Alakazam! *Alexander explodes into the sky*
DRK: *Lifts sword over shoulder and turns towards party* "Like..a boss."
I started as a DRG, so I find the class very intuitive to play. I recently leveled MNK, BLM, and had a SMN for a while. I don't find any of those classes easier, because I don't practice as often with them. The type of play that produces exceptional numbers comes with a lot of practice, and I think mastering any one job will aid greatly in finding insight in another.
Maximising dps is extremely difficult on any class =_=
I think dragoon though. If we are assuming u have perfect rotations etc at dummy on all classes.....then yeah dragoon. Very very easy rotation. No procs, no rng. No dot clipping. Basically no positionals if u hang out at back of boss and ignore HT flank. No choices that have to be made.
Not saying min/maxing on drg ( or any class )is easy ofc /dragoon defence.
