Recently I started to doing endgame content that I left behind.
I prefer to watch a learning video before, because I use DF and I understand that no one have the obligation to teach me the dungeon, especially because there is a lot of speedrunning and I don't want to be a hindrance. But I tell that I'm new and so far my party help with a lot of tips.

It gets tiresome to explain old content to newbies over and over. Even 'easy' fights require some degree of explanation. Easier to just tell them to wing it, and watch them "die and learn" so to speak, while you carry them through, then it is to try and get them to execute perfect mechanics based on a wall of text you write at the start.

No matter how good the video is or how good your explanation is, there's no substitute for actually experiencing it. I pretty much assume that my first time though a fight I'm gonna fail at it despite the preparation I put in beforehand and I think everyone should be ready for that when they see the new player message at the start of the instance. Instead of raging about not watching a video, just let them learn instead and remember you were there once too.

I don't think everyone needs to watch videos. If your groups tend to fail a lot or you die often on new content it would be polite to do one of or all of these things. Gear yourself as well as possible. Watch videos and do some research on content that is challenging for YOU. Be informed of your class and try to get better. The only person I resent is the person who knows they make it harder on others, does nothing about it and then gets upset with you for giving them advice. If you tell me you are new, ask for and are receptive to advice, I got your back. Expecting me to carry you and pass on all the gear that drops is tiresome.
