Is there a list of qualifying entries in the works, at least? Or is a post still remaining in the thread after it was locked and trimmed down proof enough?

I think I met all the requirements and was true to the theme, but I'm no stranger to getting disqualified on technicalities.

T_T i hope they do another event for these blue bird earrings.

Opened up the Lodestone this morning and suddenly got a pretty good idea of where most of the Community Team's focus has been this past month. It's good work you do, keep it up.

(Also, /joy. Must've been an alphabetical thing. Still curious to see who else won, though.)

I am very disappointed that I did not receive the prize. Each bracelet I make takes about 20 hours to complete and I made it specifically for the contest. I do not understand how it did not follow any of the rules, but as SE holds the rights to discretion, I feel that I can only post my disappointment here and hope they take note of it. I am not sure if I will ever enter a contest again because I honestly just feel played.

I'm just making a guess, but I suspect they were looking for entries that showed some sort of link to the game. If your bracelet had, for example, hearts and Moogles (or whatever) instead of "just hearts", it probably would have been included.

I made a physical Valentine's Day card with screenshots from the game. Took me a few hours to get all the right lighting, right angles, etc. I don't see how my entry wasn't valid either. But like you say, SE holds the rights to discretion, and there never was any way to know from the start if our entries would be valid or not. Which is too bad, because I would have gone back and done something different if I'd known I wasn't going to be considered with my original entry.

You know, I hadn't thought that I would actually qualify as an actual entry by submitting a video (even though I made it for the contest) since I had to have some help. However, that hadn't prepared me for the disappointment of not getting an earring, still. Oh well, I need to pay attention so I don't miss contests that I actually qualify for (as I am just terrible at cooking and arts&crafts).

I'm kinda in the same boat by feeling played. I submitted a drawing that was final fantasy related, and I saw other similar drawings qualify. Was there something wrong with mine? I'm not gonna lie about being butthurt over this because this is the third time I've tried to get those earrings. (And no one knows if there will ever be another chance to get them.)

I'm assuming it was because you didn't include the title of your submission ("Shy Moogle") within the entry itself. :( It was only included outside of the piece (in the forum text).

"The entry image must contain an identifier that displays character name, World name, and the title of the submission."

That said, I would have given it to you anyways as you are Lala! :)

That's... really, really lame. It was obvious that it was mine. I'm sorry that the title of the piece wasn't in the picture?! Thanks for pointing that out though, I guess.

Just checking, were we meant to get blue bird earrings on all Chars? Oddly enough my tank received his the other day but the character whose name was on the entry did not. Neither did any of my other ones.

The only thing I can think of is that it was given to the character who is linked to the forums but frankly my ninja is only not linked here because ninja was not a an option under main class last time I checked XD. Thanks though.

I really think you should have won... I looked through quite a few of the winning entries, and although most included all of the required information, some didn't. Multiple winning entries didn't have the title name within the photo. At least one winning entry didn't include the world name. I saw others like yours that had words written in the photo that didn't match the title to the post.

I saw the same. If I had to guess, there were probably multiple judges dividing up the entries and individually reviewing them, and some were more flexible with the rules than others. That's just me speculating, though.

I'm with some of you, a bit bummed that my entry didn't qualify. I submitted a video containing a poem I wrote, some screenshots I took (to match the poem), and a piano piece I played. I thought it was quite true to the spirit of the contest and would count as digital art. Some of the entries I thought were lacking any thought or effort and clearly wouldn't win did, in fact, win. Shows what I know! :p

Anyway, congrats to those who won! Enjoy your lovely earrings!

I hope someone can please help me with this. I just realized I won when logging into one of my other characters yesterday to do the Easter event and I received a letter with the earrings attached. The thing is, my main character is linked to this profile and is listed in the contest entry itself but I received the earrings on another character. Obviously I'm glad that I won but I entered with the expectation that the earrings would be sent to my main character.

Does anyone know who to contact or how can this be resolved (if at all)? Thanks!

It seems pretty much everyone who took ingame photos, made look all nice and added the necessary info as per the guidelines did not even get considered. I guess they were looking for actual drawings or baking deli and stuff of the sort T_T.

yea some of the drawings look cool but ive seen some people win that aren't exactly good like a 2nd grader made it. in mine I dressed up me and my wife in the valentiones clothes with our bird bardings, took the valentiones event challenge picture and edited the text to make it say bake a cake in the real world, and I also had a love cake baked, def think that was better than some of the shit they picked, but I do hope they actually say mine is an entry all people who entered should get earrings
