Id love a yuna or lulu outfit :) or maybe squall :)
Thanks for the post, OP!
I haven't played FF7, but that is a really neat looking outfit. :)
Please make it a single piece like the original Odin Herklaedi :)
no-one noticed how the cloud lala is holding his sword?
2 YEARS to be able to get that!?
Wow Squenix...that's a low freaking blow to anyone who didn't start at the beginning of last year at the least...
And unless I can get a paying job fast, I'll have to start over from around 150 days on top of that...
I'm not sure what you are pointing out in my post, I'm not saying it doesn't work as a vet system- I'm suggesting that instead of getting a particular item you get a token to a set of items (perhaps of varying token cost). In this way you can have hope for a new vet item that came out if you wanted it and are new to the game, just don't buy other things. Giving people a sense of hopelessness is not going to be a good quality when they evaluate their decision to stick with it or not. I didn't say remove the vet system, just change the functionality for a bit more hope but yet reward those who stick to it.
Edit: you wouldn't start up out of no where to get a new vet item, since you'd need the points for it and if you quit you'd fall behind- but in a sense still could get an item you really want without waiting for three years.
Cloud vanity + lightning hair = woah i didn't know SE gave us an ff13-3 lightning returns costume lel. Even if it was the ff7 ver and not advent.
I wonder if this is regular vet reward or a collectors edition version.
And again I've seen this exact statement in regards to vet rewards.
Lemme put it this way: I've played games such as Champion's Online and EverQuest 2 that have exclusive outfits and even HOUSES for veterans, some of which require several years (7 years in the case of EQ2) of veteran-ship to get.
There will always, ALWAYS be veteran rewards that are really, really nice. In fact, expect them to keep GETTING better as the game gets older. It's an incentive for people to stick with the game. What kind of incentive would it be if it wasn't exclusive?
And the token thing doesn't work for pretty much that reason. There wouldn't be anything that says "this is someone who has stuck with the game for X amount of time," it would just be an assortment of tokens and items, and those players who spend them regularly would feel slighted when something new comes out that they want.
The way it currently works, you pay for X amount of time, you get Y neat toys. It's also meant to be a "thank you" for sticking with the game for so long, much like how legacy players have certain things non-legacy players will never, ever get.
Again, it's the amount of time you've PAID for, not the amount you've actually played.
Editx2: You can buy the house in EQ2 with loyalty tokens, you do not need to wait the 7 years. I believe the system is to keep people subbed, but it can also be used to get people TO sub. Keeping it locked behind an ever growing number I think fails the secondary purpose. Encourage people to stay subbed, but encourage those who see an awesome new item to dedicate a year or what have you worth of time and enjoy that thing too. Also there are a number of loyalty systems, some are a token system with a list so I don't think you can just flat out say "this is it, this is the only way" (as the EQ2 house example shows, two ways to get it now). Also in EQ2 you can buy 4 expansions to make 90 days paid time each, gaining you a year ahead of actually what you've paid for (4 expansions will earn you 90days, the rest don't).
A token system could work, but it would not look like a token system to a vet. Every month earns you a token or a number, w.e - at whatever interval SE releases a new vet reward that costs the amount of tokens since the last reward. So a gift that was 10 months from the last given would cost 10 tokens, and not require 5 years of subscription.
It would give new players a bit of power, and would mean little to those subbed since day one (they'd get everything, a new person would not but they could aim for certain rewards). But yes it could also be for consumables and other goofy things and then you're right people would feel slighted if they introduce something really nice and expensive.
Personally I haven't seen the rewards get bigger and better, but I suppose it has only been a few years or that I don't care for some rewards. I've only glamoured one item and I don't even have it equipped currently... lol
Edit: and if you really want to argue later means better (haven't seen it yet) and emphasize it then just make each year/tier gift and cost more token. Anyway, I don't believe requiring strict timeline format is required, with some math and forethought in reward structure tokens can work (ie. if you are using previous cost as a method don't put a house a month after another gift, spread it out).
Bless the game with a Zack Fair hairstyle for males and Aerith for females. Life complete. Much praise.
They could've at least left that nice long sleeve on the left arm of Cloud's suit... it's what I liked the most of it :/
They add Cloud gear but where is female version for female using Tifa clothes? :(
*implementing Cloud outfit*
but why not Vincent's outfit?

but why not Tifa's outfit?

The joys of being a Dev.
another "veteran(...)" reward than can go dusty on my moogle posts. <.<
Behemoth mount was the best! The rest is just crap(a goblin mask? Hurray.... /feeds garbage) I thrown away or didnt even took out moogle post.
Oh hell yes. I've wanted this. :) Now give us Aeris.
The best part about this is that we might be able to recolor it.
The worst part is, it's the AC version.
Didn't read all 11 pages but the Pose is Clouds...... Might get an Emote as well. http://i.imgur.com/aIP1YXE.png
Doesn't Auron from Final Fantasy X have a similar battle stance?
Yes please

I was there when they reveal it at London FF Fanfest and they didn't say anything about party/evade. Tanks are not liked much as a role here but DRK are, it will not be very popular if compared with all the other classes but it will eat off a big % of the tanks if the gameplay will be appealing.
This was on the veteran's reward page like a month ago. Pretty cool, too bad it's the Advent Children and not ff7 outfit.
