WHY DO YOU REFUSE TO LET US GET FULL HUNT CREDIT SOLO

Having to join a party to "get credit" even though you could be doing the exact same crap even outside of a party is so needless and arbitrary that I thought there's no way anyone could possibly defend it, but then I realized I was on the official forums, where anything and everything about their precious game is defended to the death by its players, no matter how stupid it actually is.

That's not even getting into the fact that basing the credit on enmity built is also stupid, presenting a disadvantage between jobs/roles in terms of how much credit they can gain due to the fact some jobs are *designed* to build more enmity than the others, and also encouraging stupid play such as WHMs spamming AoE heals the party doesn't need simply because it builds the most enmity.

This is why I think the best fix isn't any change in the hunts themselves, which are just one symptom of the overall difficulty of doing stuff while waiting on a queue. A better solution would be to change the DF so that you can change your party around while waiting, so long as you're back to the original party you queued with (a party of one if solo) when you Commence, just like we're able to change classes/jobs so long as we're back to our original one when we Commence. That would fix not only hunting, but chocobo leveling, as well as allowing groups for FATE grinding or SBing, etc.

The math is simple only because the concept is broken. I don't think parties should have the advantage of collective contribution, in addition to the advantages a party already affords such as tank, healer, dps, better communication, and group teleporting. Treat each person's contribution as solo regardless of whether they are in a party of not. A party member can show up after the pull just in time to tag the Hunt and get the same credit as the remainder of their party and guaranteed to be more than someone solo who was there before the pull and contributed far more. Fair? Nope. Then SE would just need to set a limit like the top 24 individual contributors for A ranks and the top 48 contributors for S ranks get full credit, everyone else gets partial. Now to fix using "threat" to gauge contribution so DPS aren't so unfairly disadvantaged.
