Then why are you playing an MMORPG?

Did you even read what I said? Here, let me be a little more clear.
I didn't invest months, and possibly hundreds of hours dealing with RNG, to have my Relic Weapon tossed away. That would upset me, and I would therefore never waste my time or effort on the Relic Questlines again.
I'm playing an MMORPG because I choose to. I've probably dropped easily 2000 hours in the last year on the game. I'm sure you already knew this, but I'll feed and sate you either way. Now kindly take your witty questions elsewhere. Thanks.
I really dislike when yoshi-p goes back on his word and he change his mind. He said that relic weps would always be here he even said in E3 that at some point the Wep may give you a spell or a buff. He said that Excalibur have to always be a best wep due to the fact that it's a Excalibur same goes for the other relic weps.
I'm not sure where he going with it now but the fact still reminds it's a dam relic and it should be upgraded to the end of the game life. I myself do coil but i find that the relic have more meaning to me then just doing a dungeon and hoping for the drop.
Regarding the argument that a new player couldn't catch up: I recently made an alt. I hit 50 on the 16th, and had cleared T1-5 on the 17th - with the relic zenith. I also did a few fates here and there on the 17th and 18th, and now have 7 atmas. Add in the further nerfs to the questline that are coming with 2.5, and I really don't think it's going to be a problem.
I'm not great at the game, and I was on an alt (which means I didn't have a full set of gear waiting for me the second I hit 50). My point is, the relic questline is VERY doable for a new player to walk into.
On the plus side, animus books, alexandrite, and lights are now much easier than before thanks to the soldiary drop rate increaase, fate respawn timer adjustments, hunt reward increases, alexandrite drop rates (seems to be Atma level drops now), etc. Getting to Zodiac has never been easier - I'm planning on stocking up mats for DRK in Heavensward
So basically, you're complaining about current content becoming old content when new content is delivered. My question was hardly witty, it was sincere: MMORPGs exist off of giving players content, then relegating that content to nostalgia when the time comes for new content to be created. Your complaint literally places you in direct opposition to one of the most fundamental ways in which the games in this genre operate.
Thanks Deculture.
Excellent news! :) So glad that the Relic Weapon will continue in 3.0.
