Lag Spike?

getting 5006 when i try to log back in

shiva reporting in. mass 90k

Ragnarok just mass disconnected a bunch of people, now I'm getting 2002, 5006 and 6001 errors whenever I try to connect to the Chaos Data Center. I got disconnected once before with a 90000, now I got disconnected with a 90001.

Unless its just me, but it feels like this forum is loading very slowly as well.

JP servers do typically have far fewer issues than the NA servers.

The JP data centers are fine, you can connect to them by hitting the Data Center option at the main screen. Goes right through.

Lamia Down

Half my FC got disconnected. I got a huge lag spike. 5 min later another lag spike in Limsa and getting lobby errors since.

Do you think they are getting a DOS attack? Seam unusual to lag and massive DC this much. Never have this much lag and massive DC before since the launch of 2.4.

I cant.. i cant.. i. im too weak.. help me.. the servers... keep crashing.

Welp, that's three times in a row for Behemoth now...

Brynhildr is crashing too. The whole fate parties in Coerthas crashed, my party inside Tam Tara hard and a few FCs crashed. Now I can't get back because lobby server is crashing too.

Diabolos has crashed and burned. 5006 error...blah.

Going by the posts in this thread, it's across all servers and not limited to a specific region. As such...I'm done with FF14 for tonight =)

This is the exact example of why you don't centralize all of your servers in the same location.

This is the same exact thing as if I were to wire a control system (electrical engineering btw).. and I put all brakers for the motors on the same bus line and it just so happens the power goes down, THEY ALL GO DOWN. This is why you alternate motors on different bus lines (or alternate servers in different locations so you can have some kind of up time and security).

If they don't realize soon that centralizing all these servers in the same location is a bad thing for the future of this game, then nothing can save them. With 2 million people subbed, if they all happened to sign on at the same time the network would bottleneck. Server hardware may be more than capable of handling it, but think about trying to force 2 million connections all to the same location (ISP routing would take a shit, hence why a lot of us lag in dungeons and 90k for no reason and drop packets)..

God don't do that! They will invoke Net Neutrality and try to charge SE or the individual subscribers and arm and a leg for a fix.

I got On finally but knew something was amiss because it was to quite lol. My linkshells or Free Company list would not load and boom. Disconnected a third time. Think I'm done for today.

Server crash #3!

Im finding this amusing. I managed to log back in just to watch everyone around me red-dot and disappear one by one until it was just me and some afk dude at the market board hahaha.

No such thing as EU servers. All the servers are either in the JP data center or the NA data center in Montreal, Cananda. We only have EU designated servers to funnel the EU populace to there to sync up people's playtime.

During London Fanfest they said they were moving the EU servers to Europe.
So yes there are, or at least will be EU servers.

Is it bad I'm finding this hilarious right now? Even though I'm a little annoyed because this killed my ST group and I don't have time for another one tonight...but still, this is too funny. XD

They have not moved the EU servers yet they still in Canada for now.
