From Dreams of Ice to 2.5 to Heavensward seems like a long stretch. The thought of getting SMN to 60 is tantalizing with the possibility of new egis.

I was hoping for some big expansion reveals! This does not disappoint!

Jump of 10 levels for all my classes
New areas (hoping for LARGE areas like 1.0)
New race
New jobs
New City
+ more stuff

Is it sad that this Expansion is hyping me up more than ARR?! The trailer send chills through my spine. The Dark Tone ( Song for Heavensward) the trailer has. Also Notice, it's not ARR anymore It's just FFXIV ( With Expansion name)

Job reveal coming at London fanfest next week, although they might give you some hints in the battle panel.

The music in the trailer was just awful...

New expansion means 2 new job skills, 2 new traits, 2-3 new class skills. Now here's the question...will we see a return of some of the abilities that were in 1.x that we have not seen in 2.x?

I wonder are going to get 4 new skills, 2 for class and 2 for the jobs or are we just going to get 2 for jobs? but oh well I'm looking forward to more information about this expansion.

I wonder if that Miquo'te in his (her?) shiny armor will be a main protagonist or not.

That's actually Dragoon AF2 Armor. It has the tail.

Thats Derplander, is part of his DRG armor, Derplander arrives to Ishgard, takes of his Warrior armor and becomes Dragoon.

Its not a Miqote its the midlander who use to be a warrior. The tail is a part of the armor as seen in the concept art.

Already did...I didn´t notice it myself,but alot of People in the Chat did...Soken had a Folder named "Samurai" on his PC. Together with other Class-Folders...so i guess thats one eh?

I sure hope it is.. SAM is my All time Favorite Job!

Glad we are finally going to Ishgard. Im hoping since the lower city looks so trashed that we get to start rebuilding it kind of like what they are currently doing with Mor Dhona. But with more involvement from the players. Some kind of progressive quests that the whole server takes part in to reach goals for rebuilding etc...

Also wonder what role the 4 noble houses will play. The screen they showed each house has its own banner. Wonder if each will just have separate questlines or if they will be Ishgards version of grand companies, where we will have to choose one to be aligned with.

I don't want to play SAM, but holy moly I want it to be in the game so badly. SAMs are just too cool to not have, not to mention one of my brothers likes them and I might be able to entice him to come back and give the expansion a try with it.

I have every intention of playing Samurai if this turns out to be real. Playing a DPS is where my heart it, but if SAM turns out to be a tank, I'll play it just as quickly.

I'm really happy to hear about the expansion and the classes/jobs overhaul and the addition of more jobs. I just hope they will add more magic jobs because I prefer them over war jobs, and there are plenty of war jobs already. We have to wait one more week now to get more infos on that.

So my question is, will they allow an increase in Armory Chest and Inventory slots to accommodate the new jobs?

I hope we do get Viangaa as the new race.
We don't have a derp race yet. :D

Please for the love of God don't nerf anything in this expansion

I remember that Yoshi-P did say he wanted more DoM classes/jobs in the game due to the lack of DoM classes/jobs compared to the amount of DoW we have on 2.4 with Rogue release.

Yoshi-P also mentioned the next DoM class he wants to release is a Melee Mage but only if the development team can put the effort into it so pray for Melee Mage because the melee Mage was planned to be the class that goes into Red Mage.

Yoshida already said last year in an interview that with every expansion pack the main title of FF XIV will change.

I'd die for a Astrologist/Astronomer -> Time Mage job being added. They (Astrologist) do play a big part in Ishgardan lore since they look to the dragon star to predict Dragon attacks. I'm also in love with the Ishgardan(Ishgardian(?)) architecture. I'd kill for some Coerthan Housing Wards.

We wanted to enter Ishgard since 2010.

Hopefully this just means the class system can finally die when 3.0 comes out.

Ok 2 things that I love about this.

First damn look at that DRG armour Derplander is wearing, I need this.
