I read all the text and listen to all the voice acting. (In the inn for instance cutscenes, of course)
The localization team is great.
I just want to get my money's worth, considering this is not a freebie game. In truth I say they weren't that confident this re-release of 14 was going to be a success, so they didn't make a sandbox world, they didn't add that much voice acting. They went the cheap way in and they know it.
If it's immature to point out the differences of this game vs other games then so be it.
Yeah, I'm sure you know how and where they decided to allocate resources.
It's kinda funny that you say you want to get your money's worth but then go on to skip part a large part of the content.
Voice acting is expensive. It's even more expensive when you need to get voice actors for every language that is supported, as well. Personally, I couldn't care less if this game had no voice acting at all. It gives the writers a lot more freedom to go all out.
I read everything ;x
I read everything. I even read item descriptions. It's made the game much more enjoyable than just rushing through like most people do. A lot of the dialogue is pretty hilarious.
I only skip the beast tribe quests and sometimes leves, everything else I read.
I pay more attention to the main scenario quests than the side quests, and when I have time I replay cutscenes just to understand the lore better. I like reading wikis when I find time too. but questing in general, unless the premise catches my attention, I pretty much ignore texts not in the duty list :P
