Why ?, in 11 the weather made a difference the only difference it makes in this game is if Dodore is up or not.

Obviously if they add more situations where rare NM's spawn during certain weather or elementals spawn in certain conditions then I would agree but as of right now its pointless.

Did you seriously ignore where it was stated they are giving a purpose to weather? It will be essential to know weather patterns once, not if, they implement weather related mechanics.

They did indeed say weather patterns would have a greater purpose. As for now, I am not sure if you are aware but, those weather and moon phase icons do have drop down menus that display the different moon phases and weather effects in the game.

I don't recall if this has been said. But along side snow zones and stuff. There should be seasons for the whole world.

I had an idea, so I'm just giving it. It wasn't a pointless bump, so please, stop posts like that one you just made, especially on a thread with many ideas that the devs could use. Which they asked for us to do. That's all I was doing. You on the other hand bumped it by saying something soo pointless. In return, me bumping it again.

They have seen this thread duuh. That shouldn't mean we shouldn't stop giving ideas for them.

Anyhow, i think having ingame seasons would be cool, but not pratical. They would build maps with 4 different texture patterns, augmenting their developing costs *4 each map, until you expect to see snow in the black shroud and the ground in the usual green...

edit: not counting exceptions like thanalan. In the black shroud and limsa would need 4 seasons, while thanalan only 2 since it's a deserd: the usual weather and monsoon season. 3 months straight of rain in thanalan, weee

Saying stuff like this is more likely to get you a ban than him, since that's more in the realm of a personal attack. They seen it, replied, mentioned dev's have an idea, doesn't mean you can't keep discussion to 1 topic.

Also, reps necro threads when they have new info too on a particular subject, btw. (If they don't create a new one.)

Ya I know they necro threads but that's when they have info to add to the topic I've seen the seasonal thing said already. Honestly he's just getting on my nerves even if you blacklist him you still see all his threads. If he would calm down with all his threads and necros then I might not mind him. Here's a idea lets make one master thread where he posts all his ideas then we won't have to see 5 post from the same guy on the front page.

If one guy gets you or anyone else that upset, you need to rethink your lives. Really, I'm serious. Just because I create a thread or bump one, shouldn't turn into rage. Like it or not, MOST of my threads have really good discussions and ideas in them.

As I stated when I bumped this thread, I don't know if anyone as said it, so I thought I would throw it in, sorry for not wanting to look through 10 pages of posts, next time I will so I don't upset you.

I think it's more an annoyance, rather than people getting upset. You do take creating new topics (or in this case, necro-bumping your old topics) to a whole new level =P

Anyway, I want more dynamic weather too. I've always loved "bad" weather, even in real life, and I'm really looking forward to see how they're going to implement it in 2.0, especially the snowy areas.

My dream would be to have actual seasons, but I doubt we'll see that in this generation's MMO's =/

As someone kindly stated its a annoyance however you don't seem to realize it or you don't care. I've read some of your posts. You wanted a hard mode in the game that slowed leveling down for ppl who wanted to level slowly. In another thread you said that you would use the easiest method of leveling and that was your logic for not wanting quests to be a level up method. So in your first thread you asked for something you would never use. I think you toss threads out there for the attention honestly. You also seem to get upset at the people who don't like your threads and think of them as morons or stupid.
