Been busy with work a bit, but managed to do some lineart for Ajax Sol. I'll finish coloring later when I have the time.

Ajax Sol

I was messing around seeing if i could draw in a stereo view, and I managed to make this lol. Alot of work. When I have more time, I will try a full picture with some color.

Stereo Attempt BTW, you have to look at this cross-eyed.

It was a rough attempt, and next time I try it will be alot easier and more acurate due to most of my trial and error learning process is over with.

Can you draw Hiir please? :D

Marlboro! Awesome man keep it up~ ^^ You might want to try this out with your tablet (if its possible).

-Go into your brush presets
-Under Brush Tip Shape, click on Shape Dynamics
-Set size jitter to "0", and Control: to "Pen Pressure."

Now you can draw with a more natural feel. Should feel nice =)

Hey, here's currently. Let me know if there are any problems or if there are details/accessories not in the screen that you'd like me to add (I gave my guy a cloak). I'll fix and color after (Coloring it anime-like so it will feel more suiting to what you might like). Appreciate for the photogenic screen- It was a nice break from angry things.

I really like that you actually drew my character, And that you put my Onion Helm in there is very nice(most people aren't to fond of Onion Helms). To top it all off you shaded it purple, which is my favorite color.

You are going to have to post some more screen shots of yourself so we can start making drawings of your characters.

Heres a few snaps of teh sexy posing, would be nice to get some maelstrom flag representation in the drawing as well if thats possible, perhaps a cloak or flag with the maelstrom design on it would be fantastic. ty<3

Rinoa, thanks ^^ I was planning on working it a bit more too. I'm glad you like it! I don't do a lot of stylized anime so it's an adventure for me too. The Red Hare is camera shy. Probably ashamed of his soggy, crusty weathered gear. =(

Double Echo- thanks for lending me your screenshot. Hope the pic resembles your character enough! I may have taken one or two creative liberties. It also gets sloppier from the top down lol.

Hey Red, when you do the coloring, and you do the shading as well as the brighter tones, do you select individual colors, or is there a way to shade and brighten spots with the same color, but different shades? I'd like to work on getting a more realistic look like that.

Hey NVR, no worries I love helping out. I started myself when I began playing FFXI. I tried mimicking the fanartwork of really talented people who played FFXI. My stuff sucked and maybe you can still find it out there lol. Check this out to see my process. I even lay it out underneath in some detail.

I create a skin tone palette before setting out to paint. I then use the eyedropper tool to pick those colors as I work. I'm always switching back and forth. Generally it's a range from cold skin tones to warm skin tones.

Just ask if there's anything I can do to help^^

OK,so I cheated and taped a piece of paper to my monitor, I couldn't find any colored pencils so i tried to use just a regular pencil. I just can't make the nose right. Is it possible to make it nicely with a regular pencil, or should i find my colored pencils?

I hope not. =/ I wanted to get people to not only have and share drawings of their characters, but also tie in something about the story they imagined for them. I always liked hearing that sorta stuff, especially with a picture in tow. For me, drawing your character was more about having an opportunity to share your unique creative story that you writ while playing and actually sharing it with others in a convenient way. I mean I don't like actually role-playing, but I'm continually fascinated by the imagination of MMORPG gamers.

Not bad, Rinoa~ lol tracing off the monitor... I still have a line of lead on my old Asus monitor XD But I'd actually stick with black and white and only color her pupils once it's nearly finished. The Miqotes faces are very round, so pretend it's a sphere with a nose! Find something round in your house and see how light bounces off it if you feel like being brave and experimenting with light and shadow. G'luck and have fun.

I have an idea of how the shadows should look, just couldn't get it right with my pencil.I think what I'll do is draw the lines then use Gimp to do shading.

Fantastic, I love that you care about the story behind a picture/character! For me it's a really simple story. I came from ffxi with no friends, and the few i made in ffxiv quickly vanished. I was co-leader of a empty ls, and it was a very sad gaming experience. But I didn't give up, and I gathered a fantastic group of like-minded players that I now proudly call my ls family. With so much sadness, trials, and hard work, I now can exist in this game with a smile on my face :)

Plus I'm a massive flirt, hence wanting the wink lol ^.~

Whether I get a drawing of my character of not, it's fantastic that you put so much thought and heart into your art. Bravo!

I was browsing the thread asking myself "what's the point of sketching CG characters" until i stumbled on Yanagi's picture. Just had to draw that.
Unfortunately i'm on vacation so i don't have big software installed on this laptop, but here's a good ol' cleaned pencil sketch: neko

I wanted to do it without tracing the picture, but it's trickier than i thought.
