The queue times have definitely gotten on my nerves. If people have to wait over an hour to have one match because one or two GC's are over-saturated, then it seems to me that this GC vs GC vs GC model isn't really working out.

I'm all for the OP's suggestion. Faction-based battles are cool but they aren't working in XIV. Too few people are q'ing for PvP and we just don't have the numbers to support another dividing factor.
It's also not out of the question to have your character represent another GC. You can complete GC Leves that aren't affiliated with your company. And in the storyline you're regularly called to assist the other GCs. The leaders don't seem to be too hung up on where you signed on the dotted line. Only that you're willing to push your sword through the Primals.
On that note⦠wasn't the entire point of the Mor Dhona storyline to establish the idea of non-affiliated territory? Wouldn't the same policy apply to the Carteneau Flatlands?
players.........gasp.....want TO PLAY
i dont care if i represent Twin or Maelstrom or Flames......i just want to PLAAAAAAAAAY! thats why i pay , thats why i will keep paying, this stupid Gc vs Gc vs GC is cool ON PAPER,but as has been said isnt working.
Make it optional on the PVP window maybe?
Agreed, drop this GC garbage so we can actually pvp and not wait in queues for hours on end
I'm gonna need to see proof for this statement; the whole time fronlines was announced till the time it was implemented people guessed it might be limited to GC but never saw posts on any forum about people who wanted it to be like that.
Edit:...and even if they did then, queue times probably have them changing their minds about it now, so your point is at best irrelevant, and at worst flat out wrong.
