I haven't asked any friends to vote for me cuz I'd rather people vote for me cuz they like mine, not cuz I told them to lol. Maybe that will be part of my downfall. xD
EDIT: Not saying I think anyone has done this lol but I feel like if I tell all my friends hey go vote in here! they'd feel obliged to vote for me. I'm not brave enough to go around shouting about it in game either, I'd feel like I'm spamming haha.

I wish I could set up an alt account for better screenshots. I have an amazing friend who's been a huge help in the shooting process, but the horizontal camera anchor drives me absolutely batty when she's not around. (I'm very meticulous; wish I could spare her the bother.)

Just wondering if the "Pause" Button on Keyboards is the same for everyone when you try to look into the camera.
You can basically use that as well to look into a specific direction, even if there are no targets in range :3

I'm sorta of the solo camp on this: no help. This is supposed to be about our ability to set up and take shots, not just pose for someone else to do it.

The rules state it's perfectly fine for someone to help you. For those of you that want to do it solo, Epsil has provided excellent tips to take better pictures. ^^

I spend an incredible amount of time "setting up" shots, even when a friend assists with taking the final image. (She's an awesome photographer!) That's part of why I find the camera limitations so extremely frustrating: sometimes I can't manipulate my own camera to match the image I'm trying to achieve. I also have a great amount of respect for those doing things alone, but I don't feel it's cheaper or easier to have help.

So many views and yet so few votes. Strange.

If the page goes more than 12 hours without any votes i'll shorten the length of the round. I think day 3 starts at midnight, and its suppose to go 5 days. By the looks of things prolly will end up closing the round at the end of day 4. Unless you guys object and want the full 5 days?

I agree with shortening the rounds. Can't speak for everyone else. :)

How would it affect the timing of later rounds, though?

The official rounds are 3 days long. I was gonna let the prelim roubds go 5 since there are so many of you. If i ahorter them to 4 there will be a lag between these 3 rounds since yalls photos arent due til september. So nothing really changes. Just more waiting. Hehe

When i get to work i'll post a tentative schedule. ^^

as for the so few voters compared to viewers, i think people just don't want to go through the trouble of casting all those votes. Now, if they got allied seals in return for each vote, it'd be a diff story :p

Okay, after thinking about it, I am not gonna shorten the rounds (Sorry all you worried models! xD) since I've already set a due date for the turn ins for the official rounds, and shortening the rounds doesnt really do anything but choose who is eliminated faster. I still have to wait for resubmissions (since i assigned due dates) before I can post the rounds anyway, so no reason to close the voting early.

Let's see how the official rounds go with 3 days of voting. if they go bad, i'll shorten the rounds to 2 days instead of 3. I wont assign due dates for resubmissions, so its up to you guys to know when the rounds end and watch for changes in the dates.

I guess we will see more people vote as the photo pool shrinks then huh? ^^;

I was suprised and thrilled after seeing Yunie's tally lol, speaking of Yunie... Her picture is great, she is an amazing photographer. And I hope people like my round 2 pic as much as they do my first one :D

Aw, thanks! I was worried the browns, blues, and whites of Coerthas and having the ice elemental assignment would be boring to voters!!!
I like Yuni-Hyur's wind elemental picture because she looks like has green, windy fairy wings. The view of the tree and moon is nice too. Another favorite of mine is Ciara's because of her background --- fiery angelic wings, rawr!!!! Visan's pic is amazing, a powerful picture! I think I agree with whoever said the wind elemental guys got the best assignment. :P They all look fun. Great pics guys! Not to bash Cycle 1's models, but it seems the photos have evolved some. Or is it just me??? There are a lot more competitors this time around and though it's our first Preliminary Round, it's fun to see everyone's style and interpretation of their assignment! Good luck everyone!
