I feel like this is the best way, because it determins a clear favorite and least favorite, allowing the competition to move on. If we just did favorites, we might be left with 2 or 3 or even 4 people with no votes at all and i'd have to have a jury to help decide, blah blah. Don't feel bad!! Alright, so this definitely looks like a 3 day voting period, not 4! So we will end votes tomorrow, on Wednesday, and start Round 2 on Thursday. :cool:

As for Cycle 2, I am looking at a start around the last week of August, and we will stat casting 2 weeks before. 1 week of casting, and 1 week for them to take all the screen shots, and then start Round 1. :D

Votes, only a few, are also coming in from my facebook and the Balmung Server Facebook group post that I made. Those are the only 3 places votes are coming from for Round 1, but as of Round 2 they will only be made in this forum. Never used it before, so didn't know we'd get 4500+ views and 9 pages of votes! xD

I don't think it's only that she's a Lala. Her photo is somewhat bland. Just her standing there with her arms crossed from somewhat far away. But, realistically, the huge majority of the playerbase is male. They're not likely going to be attracted to a Lala who somewhat resembles a child. That said, not expecting bias in a competition that totally revolves around bias would be somewhat naive.

Yay time for me to be allowed to be technical. :P Working in the fashion industry, Aila stood out to me for the wrong reasons. Every other model captured a feeling, a moment, a story. You can get a feel of their personalities. Some are sultry, some are fun, some are carefree. To me I didn't judge based on how they looked in the bikinis themselves, but how they told a story. When I looked at Morina's picture, she looks like a tribal girl who adventured into a reef during low tide and a camera happened to catch her at the same time she caught it. Aila, to me, looks like she is an unhappy Lala who was just plopped onto a beach in a bikini, was told to pose, so she folded her arms and said "no."

I totally don't mean any disrespect to Aila, I just think her picture sent out the wrong kind of vibe. She just looks very serious and stern, unhappy. Almost the kind of image you'd want to portray for a soldier or a gothic girl or a rebel, not what you'd want to put forth in a beach bikini shot.

ETA I think her picture would have been more successful had she played on how cute the Lalas are, they make the funniest faces and can definitely amp up the cute factor that the other races don't inherently have. I understand the play on "America's Next Top Model" and kind of having the high-fashion/glamour look tied in with that, though I think even a Lala could take a beautiful shot by portraying an element of fun, instead of an element of glamour/sex appeal.

Good good! I am glad you guys have a valid reasons! I was really worried she was being voted out just for being a lalafel who wore a bikini! Haha. That was gonna put a HUGE raincloud over Cycle 2!

Thrustie - I'm not being naive, silly, just watching out for things i need to change in future rounds/contests! I want it to be fair as possible, and don't want Lalafels -not- to join thinking they'll be voted out immediately.

I love Lalas! I am one! Haha. I've just seen a few comments in the thread about Megan's Law and that she isn't sports illustrated material...so please understand my, and possibly orher lala's concern! But if you guys all have valid reasons, being that it is the least likeable picture of the bunch, i am happy. I just didnt want her, or future lalas, to be unfairly voted off in every swimsuit round. xD

Rina has voiced her concerns about fairness of voting, and they were not concerns I had not had myself. Any models who may have the same concerns, know that this is Round 1 of the first ever ENTM, and there will be bumps along the way. Pleas stick with me, and trust me to make the right decisions for the contest. Starting in Round 2, we will have a new voting system that will calm your fears, and relinquish the voters of the horrible task of voting a least favorite.

I'm lookin' forward to it as well. I became a bit concerned when I read that voters had to pick a least favourite alongside their top favourite. Self-confidence can be a bit of a fragile thing for some people. So far, it appears that the models are fairly confident with themselves. In my case, I'm just goin' along for the ride and see where it takes me.
