What are the chances to have a seasonal event or sub story of "Yoshida-san in Eorzea"? :D
What are the chances to have a seasonal event or sub story of "Yoshida-san in Eorzea"? :D
Hello, thanks for this opportunity. I was wondering if you will ever add an end of battle results for the dungeon, raids and so fourth? Like total damage done by each player , healing and so fourth. Thanks again!!!!
Is there any possibility of enabling and encouraging cross-data-center/cross-region play? When I first joined FFXI, I had some really interesting and cool experiences playing with players from Japan and all over the world, often using the auto-translator, and I was amazed that it was really a "global" game where you could have fun playing with anyone on the Earth! Different time zones can be valuable too because there are always people in the game at any time, and they can also buy your stuff (or craft stuff that you want to buy later) while you're logged out due to work/school/sleep/etc. !!
FFXIV: A Realm Reborn is approaching its official launch anniversary, but RMT spam seems to be a persistent, stubborn, extremely irritating, and still (!) unsolved problem. I realize it's an arms race, but is there any chance of winning the battle?
Are there any specific plans you can share about how you can rid FFXIV of the RMT spammer scourge? Perhaps automatically adding RMT messages to a training database? Maybe crowdsourcing? Honeypots? Leveraging the reputation system? Personal filters that people can share and vote on?
So far the main thing that has improved for me is that it's now slightly easier to blacklist people using /blist add <r> (which is good!) but I think that many other improvements are possible.
No, there is no conceivable way to get rid of Bots. Mainly because of one thing: 3D / Vectors. Even if you disallow a third-party program to use a hook (IE: Fraps, OBS, Autohotkey, etc.) A clever bot programmer will use vector tracing and matching rather than hooking. To do this, the program doesn't hook into the FFXIV Process, instead, it hooks into directX, OpenGL itself... and scans it for vectors, 3D and 2D Portions. Once it does this, everything else is easy to do. Even if you got rid of this method, there are other ways, such as hooking into the hardware abstraction layer, and doing key/mouse movements through that, as well as hooking into the GPU Drivers to get 3D Rendering data through there instead of DirectX and OpenGL. A botmaster also has the power of virtual machines, which can emulate 3D Rendering onto the host system. This will allow the botmaster to hook into this process rather than the FFXIV one, even if you disable the ability to use fullscreen borderless or windowed mode.
If, somehow, all software means are beat. The botter has two more ways they can get it done: A separate computer through network or Parallel Ports. As well as Hardware Filtering. These two methods are the most expensive for the bot master, but will destroy any attempt at anti-botting no matter even if you had a super computer defending one single process. Because, this will allow the botter to use key presses and mouse movements via emulation through a hardware filter before it gets through to the OS / Computer. As for the Network / Parallel bit, the separate computer can also send signals to the slave computer via the same means, especially through parallel port. This can be done by setting up a remote connection through the network as well, and the process for the remote connection program can be manipulated similar to the FFXIV Process.
So no, bots cannot be beat automatically.
In patch 2.3, we are re-introduced to Edda whose last appearance was in the early levels of the game. Those who remember her (probably because the rage quitting scene is too memorable and uh.. *nice boat*) are probably, or at the very least I am, very impressed with the dungeon, with all the scattered notes detailing her spiral into madness.
Moving into patch 2.4, are there any plans into designing a dungeon similar to Tam-Tara (Hard), lore-based featuring NPC whom players can relate to? For example, at the end of the Scholar quest line, Surito Carito states that he will not abandon those who are still trapped by the rancor. In that context, is there a possibility that we'll get The Wanderer's Palace (Hard) or a original dungeon based on Nymian lore in the future patches?
HI my question is will new jobs from expansion have relics to its to start farming atmas now
Can you give us any hints as to the classes that will be implemented in 3.0?
will changes be made for hunting system for casual players for more points or a way to obtain more points without teaming up for casual players who solo play like the rewards for solidery tomes you can work towards something once a week?
Dear sirs,
May there be Advanced Jobs in the future? For example, Arch Summoner = SMN + BLM, ect.
Any chance that Summoners will have summoned primals in true form? (I think everybody would love to have cool pets following. Just like in FFXII and FFXIII. They were so cool that i kept summoning them all the time!!! And since FFXIV's primals are way cooler. It would be a pity if we couldn't. The "Egi" form could be used in houses instead). Or the Summoner can fuse with the primals and transform into a Primal himself (That must be awesome, because we don't have any class that can transform)? Since i saw the Dark Summoner in "Primal Burden" quest could fuse with his Belial. And some characters in the storyline can transform too (The one transforms into a dragon).
Thanks!!! :)
when are we going to get PC save macro to PS4 Vice versa PS4 to PC, like how PS3 to PS4
will you implement something to solve the market board gil flow to reduce insanely priced items and level undercutting, and maybe even lock out the RMT?
I know this may be silly and some may facepalm, but some players have been looking for it, including myself, so the question is... Will players be able to get the Spriggan Cap that appeared in the "Eorzea Collection 2014 Spring with Special Guests" video? xD It was awesomely cute! ~
Thanks!
Any chance that furniture in personal rooms may be turned into something useful and/or interactive, instead of just uninterested, useless, textured models? Cupboards and drawers should be storage spaces, switching a light off should switch the light off (in the room), /sleep in beds like in inns, using a bathtub and other decorations should at least result in animations.
Any plans on creating some dungeon or raid contents which last longer than an hour until it is done and needs to be spammed over and over again?
Can you please explain why sometimes existing content gets nerfed until the last bit of fun is drained out of it, e.g. like the changes done to the already massive nerfs to Amdapor Keep and Demon Wall, or the tendency to turn mobs besides dungeon bosses into annoying time sinks?
After ilvl sync, are there any plans to implement ilvl caps on dungeons which are already casual to keep them interesting while ilvls keep skyrocketing?
When will we be able to backup and restore our macros and UI Settings to SE servers again, like we used to be able to in the past?
In 2.3 we saw the Parley mini-game make a return from 1.x. Is there anything else planned to come back from the original game? ie: Path Companions
Can you please make us understand why there is still a lot of event gear and other in-game item drops and rewards, which are untradable, can't be desynthed and can't be stored in an armoury chest, in the worst case can't even be discarded? This is hard to understand, and especially when new gear is introduced it looks a lot like there's a communication problem between development teams.
Are there any plans to implement minigames for FC housing, so that players can play against other players? Making Parley available only in inns and not supporting playing against other players is broken by design, will this be fixed?
Do you have any intentions to give high level crafters and gatherers ("Builders of the Realm") some content beyond crafting glamour items and meaningless furniture, something which is really useful for player progression or daily business?
Since Marriage system is coming up, will the bride get their last name changed to groom's last name or will it remain the same name?
Is there any chance that non-casual players may be allowed to enter dungeons with smaller parties than 4 resp. 8, and to disable unwanted nerf effects like the Echo (e.g. via a checkmark in DF)?
will you begin blocking the ip addresses of RMT along with their accounts being deleted. if this is done they will lose profit from needing to buy a new pc unless theres a way to change your ip address im unaware of
will there be a request open world pvp option. and if so can you prevent anymore requests
from the same person denied 3 times to prevent trolls and such messing up your gaming experience
Would you still like to introduce a card battle game like Triple Triad / Tetra Master?
a person blacklisted can still be seen and interact with your character, can you fix this because ive had a troll named ****** ***** bug me for a while and wont give up. he even sends his fc after me, not to mention he always came up with a total bull**** answer that hes not picking on me even though he knows its offensive and hurts me... sorry for my attitude on this but i hope you strengthen the blacklist system
Are there any plans for open-world content where players can have a tangible affect on the game world?
For example, large-scale battles where repeated successes can have area-wide or
perhaps server-wide benefits for players, while repeated failures will have consequences such as loss of control of camps or the area made much more dangerous. Perhaps a possibility for camps to be expanded and improved by the players themselves? (And downgraded if neglected)
For an even bigger example, I am thinking along the lines of FFXI's campaign battles, but not just the battles themselves, but the overall struggle for control of the different areas, and the campaign ops, fortifications, siege engines and participating npcs that build up to that experience.
Are there plans to introduce a samurai class?
When will you implement the next relic upgrade? 2.4? Will there be any relic specific abilities at the end of the final quest such as Whm Benediction (full party) Bard can sing 2 songs simultaneously etc like in FF11?
We recently received the new options in MogStation for purchasing Fantasia only once at this time for each category of 1, 3, and 5 phails. Will options for Fantasia be reopened again for purchasing or is a new system for purchasing them in the works?
So what will happen with Bahamut? Will we face him directly 1 to 1(This case the number of people in the duty) or slowly kill him through the coils?
Any plans to implement a calander in the game for planning events etc in the FC, or a bigger notices section on the company section.
Reason: It gets really difficult to let everyone know when to be on for an event etc, a calander (like they have in wow) would make it much easier.
Thanks Tyrettln
With the Gardening and Chocobo Raising now open for the FC (and eventually solo players though the porters) is there anything in the works for either adding additional space to the FC chests as well as a chest at the porters for storage of brooms, treats, soil, seeds, etc? If there isn't, then is there a separate "tact box" in the works for the chocobo stables for storage of these items? With not all players having crafting hight enough to make brooms, and/or people not having unlocked or even doing gardening, it would help for the FC's and solo players to be able to store items at location instead of having to carry them in the inventory, or get to their retainers everytime.
With playing the storyline, and having played FF series for quite sometime now, I know two things:
1. To obtain the best there is in game, you have to stray far from the linear game line to find them, and
2. The foreshadowing of what you can obtain will always be presented to you well in advance of when it is actually obtainable by the player.
With this said, I am wondering when in the future we will see the higher level soul crystals in order to break the current lvl 50 cap? I am expecting that it will probably be with the 3.0 game expansion, however, with the current game climate of a every player having at least 1 lvl 50 war and/or magic class, will we be seeing them sooner?
I ask this because of aspects of the game, and the way the job classes seem to play that those storylines are not over. The major kicker is the lvl 50 summoner quest where you see the NPC your working against give an Asisan (sp) 4 soul crystals of summoning in order to gain a more powerful egi.
I have a child(ren) that likes the game, and wants to play while I am also online. I have let them create a character under my account, but when they play, the only thing I can do is handle the chat board since MogStation accounts don't cross platform.
Is there any talk among the dev team about creating "minor" accounts in MogStation (2 to even 5 dollars per month) to allow for a child(ren) of a primary account to make an account for their kid(s) play? I am trying to be a gamer and good parent at the same time, and I want to be online while my kid(s) are online so that I can deal with what they experience in real time.
Please let us know.
