sure, i'll try it out. if i like it i'll persist in it, if not i'll try to stick with it for vanity gear and whatnot.

Not quite. They definitely nerfed Miasma's disease effect because of PVP balance. It caused a weight effect that was different from the regular heavy. So everytime melee got close to a SCH or SMN, boom, Miasma II weighing everyone around them and /sprint away. It was just a bit too much in a situation that was already rather frustrating for melee to begin with. They also made sure to do 1 ranged 1 melee per group to avoid the CC's of 2 SMNs vs 2 melee slaughterfests that were happening.
