I will not answer again in this discussion because it is the right place but I wanted to point out. No one wants the most powerful weapon, it is not a matter of ilvl, it is simply ridiculous that an average player who is not at home all day to access all of the content of the game has to farm 80 hours (if all goes well) only atma and after losing their lives in instance. The same opportunity should be given to all. Personally, I stopped doing the Zodiac quest, as did many other players.

- I found upgrading a weapon is something that shows how dedicated you are in a job, should the final result really worth the efford? like a special weapon skill only available if you equip the weapon.

Please remove Atma from the game.

- Animus is good and makes you feel accomplished.
- Atma wastes time when we should be learning rotations, not AoE spam.

I know this is a huge request, but I think any new players encountering this will be severely discouraged to continue playing. That hurts you, and it hurts us.

My only concern with FATEs grind Zodiac Weapons is the fact there are certain zones that do not have enough players to do FATES, hence they cannot finish the FATE itself to have a chance for items to drop. Its bad enough the rate drop is extremely low and some of us are not hardcore player, its worse when we cant even finish a FATE to try our luck. How can you make Atma more attainable when certain zones are completely barren of players.

Please consider using other ways of slowing down progression for future installations of relic upgrade quests...
Some kind of "allowance" system like "leve allowances" could be useful.
It would allow for progress every day for those that have the time, while people with less time could save up allowances to catch up later.

Will fish tanks be implanted into housing so that players may watch their trophies swim around for all to enjoy?

Will the atma drop rate ever be increase?

Please no unless you really want to slap the people in the face that already have worked hard (or I suppose got really lucky but still they had to work for it) to collect all the atmas. Do you really want to teach people that mass complaining is the key to getting what they want? Games might work that way but life doesn't, so why teach people to be weak? I'm sure people might read that and take offense to it. The last thing I want to do is insult anyone, but people need to not rob themselves of tough mental exercises so they can become mentally tough. And in case any haters are reading this thinking I got lucky, it took me 36 hours to get one atma in Central Thanalan but I still did it and I have a sense of pride in myself that I didn't give in to the urge to quit because it got too hard and was taking too long. And before I get accused of playing 24-7 I have a full time job and two side businesses :)

My Actual Question: Instead can you make it so that if you already have an zenith in your armory chest (or equipped) that the atmas would drop so that as Reyner said the exp isn't wasted and you can still farm atmas? Furthermore can it be possible that after each fate is completed, the atma drop rate calculates as many times as there are zenith (or atma or animus) weapons in your inventory? For example if you have 3 zenith weapons (PLD, WHM, BLM) and one atma weapon (SCH) you could potentially get four atmas in one fate (albiet the chance is absurdly low) while leveling your level 1-49 monk. This seems to be a way that people can increase the drop chance of atmas and be in more control (by simply leveling more classes and getting more zenith weapons) thereby reducing the RNG factor without infuriating the people that already endured the RNG.

An alternative to the above post is to multiply the single atma drop chance by the number of atma/zenith/animus weapons in your inventory. Maybe already having an atma/animus could count for more than 1x (2x, 3x or more x) so that people who already endured the RNG can get their atma/animus weapons for other classes more easily since they already endured the initial perseverance test.

Even this idea would make it easier for new people to optimize their time better than the people whom already have their atma/animus weapons, but I think the people that already do have those atma/animus weapons will be far more satisfied with a fix that doesn't make all of their hard work completely go to waste and that they should have just waited for a bailout if you will.

One additional idea along these lines is to make use of the already populated FATE areas where atmas cannot be obtained (Coerthas, Eastern La Noscea, etc.).

Q: Is it possible to create a random atma drop upon completing a FATE in those useful leveling areas and have it intelligently choose from the list of atmas that you do not have in your inventory?

So if you have atmas 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, and 12 in your inventory and you participate in a FATE in a currently non-atma-dropping area, there would be a chance of dropping atma 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 so long as you have a zenith in your inventory (or equipped). Coerthas is a big FATE leveling area and it would be nice for people to be able to farm atmas while leveling their other classes here so long as they have a Zenith(Atma/Animus) weapon in their inventory.

Will the relic upgrades eventually grant us a "special" or unique ability for completing the weapon? THis would make all the work worth it AND place it above any other weapons of the same level, rewarding those who put in the time.

As it stands a lot of people seem to think the past 30 days was not enough time to finish Animus, and it was too difficult. However If the relics are going to be as epic as previously described, I feel as though they should be difficult. In fact I have an idea. . . . As part of the relic quests you should have to solo boss monsters. . . Much like the mini summons lvl 20 from ffxi that were needed for smn. This would be an example of skill, as well as time consuming.

Right now, Fate Timers for Zodiac Books take a while to pop up. Will the spawn rate for these be increased?
