I will take ANYTHING more role playing. And I play Sims. And I have all the mods if you get my meaning. No shocking me. Btw, ty SQ and devs for the 3 new dances I do appreciate your hard work. Go team!

Side note: I have an asexual friend and I do have some small insight to the pain anti affection people go thru. If you fall in that category I'm sorry if what I am has offended or hurt you in some way. I do want more cuddles. And not just for Miqo'tes only tyvm.

I feel this may have been directed at me, and you make an interesting point; marriage is coming to the game soon and what ways are their to show your real or roleplayed affection to your soon to be spouse? Why not cuddling?

I don't really have too much of an argument against cuddling (in fact, I don't really feel that strongly about it either way /devil'sadvocate). However, this affectionate gesture may simply be used to forward an erotic motive by some (as the OP implied with making out and ear-biting; despite claiming he was trolling), and the Dev's time and resources should simply not be used to aid a specific subgroup of RPers. Such resources could be better spent on other emotes that EVERYONE (or almost everyone) can use and enjoy, not just those under specific circumstances such as a house and a supposed intimate partner (or mistress or whatever).

Though I guess they could just add a hug pillow to cuddle with and cry into =P


Off topic:
The age question thing was kinda uncalled for; it almost seems like an effort to delegitimize someone else's argument because the person was too young or old to matter in this discussion. Knowing a person's age probably won't get you any closer to understanding why they support or reject any specific topic.

Yup, but in context of the story it's generally only implied sex (both consensual and not) and has only a single embrace as far as I'm aware (Minfillia with someone). The ESRB rating also doesn't take into account interactions with other players "Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB." I have the box too you know ;D

The only reason i see an objection to, is PDAs, basically that's why kissing and things like that wouldnt be put into the game.

That works out great, cause the eastern culture has its own set of servers where they can choose to observe their own cultural values and not utilize more affectionate emotes or character animations. That doesn't put them out at all.

Cuddling is a gateway emote

For people worried about being randomly cuddled... the emote could be designed to request permission before it could work, and there could always be a blanket set of 'permissions' that you could adjust to either limit who could do it or turn it off altogether. Perhaps even have it off by default.
