I took a look at what I believe to be one of their raid tanks. That lvl 90 stuff was penta-melded, so they'd gear up if they could maybe. It's just that you can only get so much Sol in a week and it's faster to spend your millions on material for that world first.

Or maybe there's factual data that makes pentamelding superior... idk. Or it could be just that one guy.


Now that I think of it... I guess materia prices are ganna go down now that world first is obtained and people would rather grind for SoL gear now and patiently get their ilvl up.

You know that it was exactly the same for t1 - 5 right ? first t4 kills were done by groups in ilvl70 crafted gear, penta melded. Then, because of t5 beein shutted down, said groups had time to farm before goin back in.

When you look at it in the DF it say ilvl82 for Turn 5. It's just that people need to outgear in order to be able to down shit and then claim its easy, boring and that the lock system is not convenient but these said people still wait 6 months to have 4 more raids in the exact same conditions, go figure.

Player skill plays a pretty big factor. A person at I70 pushing their class to 100% is almost better than I90 at 80%. Most people seem to be 60-75%.

So maybe with a Guide and full I110 some normal players might have a chance.

I do wonder what game has recently come out that took the best FCs(guilds) around a month to complete. I look at the WoW players and I almost cry at how few updates and content they actually get, and when they do get new end-game there is Raid-Finder version which allows any noob to complete it in one sitting.

Maybe you haven't playing much MMO's? My last serious MMO was Rift before I came to FFXIV. Its raid, Endless Eclipse had some of the toughest bosses guilds encountered and trust me, Rift's community is far more hardcore than this one. It had 5 bosses with strict dps checks on them all and it took a month for world first on last boss. I was in a top 5 guild on server and it took us 3 months to clear it.

Outside of raid grind, then there was solo grind like farming faction reputations that rewarded some BiS parts of gear - which FFXIV needs to implement badly instead of rewarding silly mounts/minions with beast tribes. Then later they released hard mode of bosses, which make this game's extreme primals look like a joke in comparison. So yeah, plenty of hardcore content out there. Heck, even Wildstar is promoting their hardcore 20/40 man raids. We'll see how that turns out.

They are a really hardcore FC. I heard a rumor that they required like 8 hours of play time a day or something like that.

Don't fret. Some people just want to get through this content quickly. Just because a group just finished turn 9 doesn't mean that its suddenly time for a bunch of nothing to do threads

All their dps have i110 weapons by the way.

this is exciting but im not suprised either. if you go to their site and look at their recruitment requirements and policies you will understand why this was cleared so fast. they put an exorbitant amount of hours into playing this game not to mention some of the policies and rules seem borderline tyranical to me.

That don't matter at all when it comes to crying about something. Even when it doesn't reflect our own raiding status, or lack thereof, we'll still use it to complain about something.

You should probably watch the video. The second dread drops at about the 10:40 mark. Right before it dies, it isn't stunned then is immediately stunned again.

Also, the party average ilvl is 82.5 according to the "About" section in this video.

2 weeks 2 team. They most likely combine the DPS from both teams to get the world first.
Edit: to elaborate on my post, first week they have DPS A from both teams take the unidentified allagan tomestones and the sands of time. Second week, they have DPS B from both teams take the items. Third week, combine the 4 DPS, go for world first turn 9.
