Agreed! Asheron's Call had a /playdead emote and much fun was had with it. Especially if you figured out how to move while playing dead so your corpsified self slid around. Hilarious.

Besides that the one emote/dance/changepose I would love love love to see, and can't believe it isn't in the game yet considering npcs constantly show it off: the trademark FF7 Squat as a looping emote would be ace.

How about a /lean emote? Much like /sit, you can find walls or fences and lean on them. This'll probably be a more difficult one to implement since you'd have to connect something in the world with an emote.

/eye roll /skip rocks on water /grasp heart in surprise then smile and walk away (sarcastic) /plug both ears (not listening) /and maybe a different sitting position for on the ground for elezen like crosslegged (tailor fashion) ?

I would like to see more tail animations for idle emotes as well as sitting. Different sitting variations would also be nice.
or the ability to change poses during convo. where /em sits and looks at the sky. " well hey buddy!" surprised look on her face, she jumps up happily. the actions would cycle from sit to shock to happy. based on word detection after the "/em" tag. or howabout a bordom emote for each race. drawing in the dirt, making paper toys, ect.

I assume we will get the emote in quest form on the next festival. Since that seems to be the trend.

I would like to see /doze2 /doze3 /doze4 so that all races can share sleeping in bed motions.
Female Miqo'te are the only race who don't actually sleep in /doze... I want to sleep like the Lalafell ^^

It would be awesome if /smile /grin /smirk /shocked could be permanent face changes until you die or zone.

some facial expressions like /serious /aloof /angry but make it like the /cpose thing where your facial expression stays like that until you change it back :D

This, +class emotes (being different than jobs). And if they bring back job emotes, I hope they bring several more jobs with (specifically RDM and DNC, I want my pom poms and flower effects!).

Agreed! Something like a "cmere!" hand motion or "come at me bro" pose would be cool. They could be coupled with the /taunt face.

I have a slap macro too! Elezen does a slap motion so it is nice for those times when it's called for.

I don't know if it has already been mentioned but we need emotes centered around the campfires scattered around the game--especially the ones in the housing areas. /roastmarshmallows

This exists, at least on Miqote. I forget which command it is and I'm not at my PS to look it up, but I was playing with a bunch of emotes yesterday and I saw something like this. It MIGHT be /shock but I forget. I'd have to look it up.

Those who want sigh, I don't know what it looks like on other races but for female Miqo'te, I find /upset to be a good substitute.

I want a hug emote. I love to hug people and I would love a hug emote in game :3 Did I mention that I love hugs and thinks this game needs more hugs?

We need a sign emote.

I'd like dance emotes that change if you are directly next to someone doing the same dance emote, so that the 2 of you dance together. Sort of like how minions detect they are near each other now and do stuff. 2 people doing /harvestdance could line up and then hold hands while dancing for instance.

/cat, which makes you push your head and snuggle against other people as a Miqo'te. /pet is also mandatory.

I didn't know this was a thread or I would've posted my suggestion here in the first place :P

I was thinking a /perform emote for Bard would be an entertaining add. Let the bards loop their harp animation and play the songs that randomly play when they start up songs. Add a little ambiance to the world for the performers of the world. :D

We require interactive emotes, like a hug or a high five. They would have to be initiated by 2 people to work. Kinda like the portal 2 robots had their emotes.
I've been dying to give some people in my FC a hug, only, I can't. D:

I really, really want a /faint or /fall, that gives us our animation for dying. We could really something to lay down - or maybe a general /lay? Either is fine, but we need SOMETHING.

That, and /changepose for our regular (not on a seat) /sit, and for our /doze on the bed. Female miqo'te lay in the most ridiculous way...can't we lay the way we do in the inn!? The animations already exist!

Seconding/thirding/fiftiething interactive emotes, too. /hug and anything similar would be really nice to have.

How about a /calamity emote.

You start to freak out. Your toon looks up into the air and starts running around in circles. And then a mini meteor shoots down from the sky and hits you in the back of the head and knocks you unconscious.

Or/and /chocomole emote. Where baby chocobo heads pop out of the ground and you grab a large mallet and knock then back into hell from which they came! I guess these would be evil baby chocobos.

/yarnplay (Miqo'te) - Rolls on his/her back, pawing with a yarnball.
/hug - Makes a hug emotion, stand close to another player and it will look like you're hugging.
/thumbsdown
/threaten - Motions to the neck/throat with the hand/paw, motioning decapitation.
/sleep - Character lies down and falls asleep.
/sleepchangepose - Changes pose from laying on the back to laying on the side/tummy.
/closeeyes - Like /shuteyes except keeps them closed indefinitely until you move.
/wash - Miqo'te cleans self like a cat, stroking paws over ears and so on.

You see NPCs doing both these exercises in various places, so the animations already exist.

/joke (similar to WoW where each race and gender comes with their own witty or crappy banter)

/hungry (grabbing stomach + tumm growl)
/play (similar to Zanmato's Miqo'te yarnplay idea, but have the emote change base on each race)
/facepalm
/taunt or /threaten, or both doing different things.
considering the mouths move when we talk is possible, I'd like to throw in the idea of a /talk emote where our bodies jump in on the talking action.
/exercise can rotate through different basic exercises like push ups, squats, high knees/running in place, sit ups, etc.
/whew can be an emote where the characters "wipes their sweat" off their forehead.
/what " ┐(.__.)┌"
/hmph crosses their arms temporarily + head turns to the side to look away in anger, or hands on their hips with an annoyed look.

We now have the change pose, but what other emotes do you think we should have? let the ideas fly!

Maybe some of the NPC's idle emotes. Or reactionary idle emotes to the weather. Like fanning yourself when it's hot, or shivering when it's cold.
