World Progression Thread

Has anyone ever heard of the FC No Big Deal on Midgardsormr? Because no one on Midgard has, and yet:

Big congratulations to both guilds that cleared Turn 8, assuming the second guild validates that they have indeed killed it (assuming they have as of right now).

You're right, except an unheard of guild that completes Turn 8 as fast, if not faster, than BG? On top of that, look at this set of achievements too:

The Binds that Tie II and III on the same day. Now, you could say that since they removed the entry limit that's not questionable at all. The thing is though, any group that has characters that are ready and prepared for Turns 6-9, and can do it at the level that BG can, would have already attained those achievements from farming and gearing up, however prior to patch 2.2, they hadn't even killed Twin five times. It's extremely suspicious.

Also, that SMN with the three High Allagan Breeches? Yea, nice Crimson Breeches he also has on too.

Smells like a hax/bug. Same with the person with turn 8 achievement 2~hrs after release, and the person with weathered body (the soldiery one) on the first day. That being said BGs 2nd group also killed turn 8 so world 1st and 2nd? The drops are posted on their main page.

Well, I think they may use the same position hack as for Twintania. I expect them to be banned sooner or later. It doesn't bother me really, yeah it is annyoing ppl using cheats. But what do you have? You get unsellable gear, some achievements but nothing which affects other players directly like crafting materials or so. And when the big ban hammer comes, it doesn't matter at all, they're banned then and cheating was for nothing.
The coil fights are just a challenge, nothing else. Beating them with cheats is dull.

Ah this thread brings me back to moogle when there was a forum war on who beat it first the "legit way" just because BG didn't do it first. I certainly hope that we have another incident like that just to make things interesting. Maybe a non-legacy server can go ahead and clear turn 9 first to spice things up even more.

Before 2.2 went live the conversations for the new coil quests were already up on xivdb, which indicated that you are not actually fighting Nael but a manifestation of him created by Bahamut. It also hints at Nael being female.

If a representative does decide to submit the spreadsheet will auto update and ranks done accordingly. This is simply a tool to help track progression for those who WANT to use it. Defeats the purpose of a "world progression thread" if you're not going to count all kills.

i dont think BG cares about what other guilds are doing. but its good to know to push everyones boundries with current ilvl limitaions. :confused:

Totally agree. You can't call it a world progression thread when you're not including one of the top 3 FCs. BG was 2nd T6, 3rd T7, 1st T8 and might be 1st T9. That's a pretty significant impact.

It comes down to it not being Raynor's problem Blue Garter doesn't feel a need to post in the thread. It isn't his job to track down all the kills in the world. That's the point of this thread and if Blue Garter doesn't want to participate then it's not Raynor's job to camp their website watching for kills.

The point is that then you can't call it the "world progression thread".

For one it's not including every kill, and for two, no Japanese players even report their kills. It's more the "progression for people who feel like reporting it in NA and EU thread". Don't get me wrong I like the thread idea just it's not exactly what it advertises.

Not saying you didn't kill it, but there is literally 0 proof that you did in that image. That is just a generic coil room that is used after t1, 2 , 6 and 7. Should probably post a different image.
