Tired this step by step but did not work.

Same issue here.
Re-building the database did not help.

Same here. Also tried to rebuild database using the instructions above, didn't help. Really SE, DO SOMETHING! How the fuck are we supposed to try the beta if we can't even get in-game?!

Whats the deal, I've tried atleast 15 times in 2 days thats 155gigs, I will probably have to pay 50$ on data this month. Fix this stupid issue, why always problems? PS3 also had problems and resolved. I wana play the ps4 version not fair that it doesn't work for some people. I've tried everything i am connect threw a cable doesnt work nothing. Nothing works.

#1 They are hiding a hardware issue that certain PS4 consoles are having for Sony.

#2 They have no idea what it is.

#3 They don't care

If it is #2, the least they could do is acknowledge the issue, and say they are looking into it, but they have been completely silent for days now.

A simple reply from SE stating they are aware of the issue and are looking into it would mean a lot to those having the issue. Instead we feel totally ignored and left out.

I have this title set for pre-order for the PS4, but I am now having second thoughts.

I get the same error code 20019 at about 26 percent...

As a sample point, I deleted the game and rebuilt the database as above, downloaded the game again and it worked for me. I tried just rebuilding the database without deleting the game but that did not work.

The only other thing I changed was that I logged in on the web and set up my profile with square-enix.

What do u mean set up your account on square enix? I've made a new account and used my ps3 account neither worked. What do you mean by set up ur profle

Ok I'm officially PO'd. I've re-downloaded this blasted Beta 4 times now and done everything here suggested but to no avail. WTH SE How do you expect us to beta test for you if we can't even install the damn thing. I figured after 3 days of this bs you might have actually done something about this. :/

I'm still waiting, and yeah i figured after 3 days something. Like theres not much of the beta left lol. And seriously fix this ive downloaded almost 20 times doesn't make any sense to me why certain people have issues. They arnt gonna fix this im sure of it now, they have enough people that have successfully downloaded and installed the game. The fix with come with the official release so those unlucky people like myself dont get to try the game befor purchasing it, witch gives me second thoughts to wait for the elder scrolls.

I downloaded it one more time and finally got it to install, but now it is freezing on the opening cut-scene that you CANNOT skip. What a piece of garbage this "game" is.

Cancel your pre-order! If they can't even respond to such an issue in beta when there are far fewer people playing, you know they will never respond when the PS4 version goes live.

This is despicable behavior for a company, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Yeah, it seems fixing the 20019 error is the last thing on SE's "to do" list. The most annoying thing is that they haven't even given any kind of answer why 20019 occurs. Well maybe they don't know and are afraid to admit it. I don't think it will be fixed at least not until the game has been released.

Seems I also have this issue.

I have been a SE fan since day one. I have bought almost all there games. The lack of not even adressing this issue is very disapointing. It makes me not want to buy this at all. I know I am only one person and it means nothing to them, but if they dont show they care then alot more people are going to opt out then the rerelease is going to bomb just like it did before. COME ON SQUAR AT LEAST SAY HAY WE NOTED IT AND IT WILL BE RESOLVED NEXT BETA dont just leave us hanging in the dark!!!!!!!!

I am not positive yet, but it seems like this is not only as issue with ps4, but ps3 as well. The girlfriend and i got a second ps3 to play together. (among many other reasons) I have been trying to download the patches for the game itself and keep hitting a download error around the same point in time. I can tell its from the February 1st patch that they had done. Im not positive on the actual error number, but i will follow up with that if it fails again.

But this forum isn't to communicate with Square directly... :( You have to go through the proper channels. This is user to user support.

Are you seriouse SE still no fix, its been a week like what a beta guys lol mine was great didnt get past the launcher. Anyways due to this problem and how terrible this game responds to issues, I can just see the official launch already, people wont be able to play for what a month? Who knows, well not buying this game bye all.

I have had the 20019 once and the rest of the time I get 2002 and have not been able to even play the game. I have made my character and it goes through the first cutscene and the characters turn to look at the first city ,than losses connection to server and have not been able to get back on! Is square enix going to fix it ?

I am getting system error 20019 [4]-2147352480[8]. This all happens at the launch bar.I already the ps3 port and that took.

I've had this issue for more than a month. I would have thought it would be ironed out by now, but it looks like it's just going to sit here and damn the people that have it. I'm out.

I have deleted and downloaded many times. I have rebuilt the database. I have initialised the ps4. I still get error 20019 when updating the client. I cannot buy this game when this may be what happens when I try to play.

yeah, I'm cancelling my pre-order. No point in buying something that may or may not work.

I don't blame you. If it was the PS4 we wouldn't even be able to get to the launcher at all.

I just wish that the devs. Or someone would answer us. Heck I even checked on playstation Web site for the PS4 they don't have a 20019 code.

Tested Fix for 20019 Error on Realm Reborn

Step 1: Wipe All Realm Reborn Files from PS4

a) Settings>System Storage Management> Application>Final Fantasy File>Hit Start>Choose Delete
b) Settings>Application Save Data Management>Saved Data in System Stoage>Delete> (Proceed to DELETE all FFXIV Files- This will not delete character data, which is saved on Server- IMPORTANT- In the “Other” Folder at the bottom There are FFXIV Files and Beta Files- Make Sure to DELETE THEM ALL also)
c) Notifications>Downloads>Proceed to DELETE ALL UPDATES and FFXIV Related Files from the list

Step 2: Rebuild Database

1) Shut down system
2) Let it cycle 15 seconds for Hard Drive to fully shutdown
3) Hold down power button until you hear 2 beeps
4) Plug in PS4 Controller with a USB Cable
5) This will load Safe Mode Menu- Choose Rebuild Database (This is DEFRAG and WILL NOT delete any System Files/Games etc.)
6) Let the process run, and do not unplug anything because data may be corrupted.. if you do
7) System loads up


Step 3: Re-Install FFXIV from PSN or from your LIBRARY

After game was re-installed the FIRST TIME SETUP made it to 100%!!!, and I was good to go. Best of luck. Hope that this works for others, or at least gets you on the right track.

same problem i try all and nothing...

I had this problem in beta and will not buy and subscribe until there is a confirmed fix. What is being done about this and has anyone been contacted by support? I cannot purchase the game of I am unsure whether it will be playable.

I've tried this step even reinitializing the console and redownloading with no luck :( it still gives the error when I start the patching. Also I tried port forwarding from the advice when I called tech support , but even after changing my ports it did not work. Any other solutions? The guy adviced me " not to throw money at the problem" but I see no other option then to somehow get a copy of the disc and try that :(

Also I have a question about the steps of your guide. Step 3: After I install the game and boot it up for the first time it says to close ap and shutdown. Now on this step I know you do not Rebuild again.. but would restarting the console in safe mode help, or should I just close the app and start the pre patch installation. This is all disheartening :(

I know it's frustrating trust me I tried the day they announced you could upgrade versions and it took me Two weeks or so to get it to work, Follow the steps exactly as it says and delete everything FFXIV you have on you're PS4. Re-download it and hope the first time set up works, As for when it says shut down and start game again I shut down my PS4 completely and started it again.

Followed kings instructions again and it finally worked. Things I did differently that im not sure if made a difference include.

1. I took off the firewall from my modem ( by entering the modem IP address on the web browsing address bar for the setting)
2. During the part after you first install from the library and "start the game" after it installs patch uploader, it will say something long the lines of " shutdown and close application" on this part I
* Pressed the home button on the controller
*Highlighted over to the FinalFantasy 14 icon
* pressed start ( Options button on the controller) and pressed " Close application
Then after booting it up, putting account, and getting the the initial installation for the patch. It finally worked! Thanks you very much king for making that guide, could not of fixed it without it! ^^
