Has a date been set for the Allagan gear rollback hotfix?

OK cmon now we just had an update and a maint.

Paying to play this game UNINTERUPTED..............WOULD BE SO AMAZING!!!!

THe only ilv90 head that was useful for SCH and they change it =( Make the tomes head for SCH with Crit then! None of the new items are useful for SCH, everything fits perfectly for WHM u.u

I agree with this. Changing Allagan for Healers/Tanks impacts two classes. Instead, they can just modify the Myth gear and only impact one class while still accomplishing what they intended (not having the same stats on the gear).

They shouldn't make such huge changes over gear you can already acquire. What they should do to diversify the gear with the same stats is add a minor alternate stat.

Allagan Head got reverted... because clearly SCH needed even less diverse Gear.

Because it makes gearing up simple and less complicated. Do I need to point to the bird's nest spaghetti mess that was FFXI endgame gear?

Put in a help ticket through the in game menu. I did and they contacted me telling me they would refund my myth tomes after I discarded my SMN boots and sent them a reply. Their message also said that in this instance they would not count it against me if I needed to have an item restored in the future as you apparently get that privilege once per account. Anyway, I don't know what their backlog is but they didn't contact me back last night and so far today nothing.

As a scholar, this rollback is pretty stupid. There's barely any reason to get allagan gear now as pretty much all of the myth gear has stats that are the same or better.

To those suggesting that there was no excuse because they fixed it in the patch notes. I am one of those unfortunate people who wasted the tomes on boots without knowing about it, normally I would have caught something like this but two things complicated the issue. First, the day the patch went live we raided BC so I had to fix my accurracy that day (I really had no other option and being a BLM without being acc cap is not really an option... potential to cause 10 seconds of total DPS down time from poor RNG Bliz miss.) Second, with it being holidays and a lot going on in real life, I didn't have as much time to spend pouring over every little new detail released about this game. I saw it was going to be changed in the patch notes, and prepared accordingly...

At this point, I will just live with the loss because it's whatever, but those asking for a refund I completely understand where you are coming from. For me though, BLM new BiS happens to be mostly allagan pieces now, and I have already bought almost all the myth stuff, so I really have no more need for my comms. But I would agree that a refund would be nice to those who overlooked the change.

An alternate scenario: Someone doesn't read the forums or the patch notes... at all... sees the gear has changed live in game, asks someone what the deal is, and they just state "Oh yeah, they changed some of the pieces to make them be different". So shrugging it off they buy the boots not even reading the patch notes (either state of them). Then after Christmas they come back to see it changed back again and wondering what happened and take to the forums all pissed off.

The bottom line here, for better or worse changing gear after it has already been released is likely to cause issue. I recommend SE doesn't do this again unless there is VERY good reason. (like the game is broken because of this piece of gear so we have to change it.... reason)

That's the dumbest thing I've read in this whole thread. It's TWO options. Are you actually confused and staying awake at night over option A or B gear?
